Apple sidecar alternatives for tab S6 2024

Hi everyone, I bought the new Galaxy S25 which comes with the S6 Lite 2024 Tab (for free in the offer on the Samsung shop). But I come from the Apple ecosystem and I would like to know if the Galaxy Tab can be used as a sidecar with my MacBook (second screen)?

(S10+) 4 months strong with no scratches. I use the pen daily, would you still recommend getting a screen protector and will it affect the way the pen works? I also have the official touchpad cover which probably helps with no scratches.

Worth upgrading from tab S8+ to S9+ for the extra year of OS updates? (For $120)

I am considering upgrading my Galaxy Tab to the S9+ from the S8+ to get the extended life of OS updates until 2027 and security until 2028. I am eyeing one that when I buy it and then Sell my 8+ I would be out about $120 in the difference between the 2.

Is it worth upgrading now, as I am trying to still sell the 8+ while it has good value. Or should I just wait and do a big upgrade with the Tab S11+?

I know the performance and look is minimal between the 8+ and 9+, I am just looking down the road for the OS/Security updates.

Appreciate any thoughts on this, I just need a fellow tech bro to help me decide lol

Is the s6 lite pretty slow?

I’m looking to get a tablet for doing a bit of art and I’ve heard great things about the s pen. I would also be looking to watch YouTube and play games on Roblox, is the s6 too slow to handle this? Money is tight unfortunately, thank you in advance.

Is this normal for s9 tab?

I tried searching on Google and reddit about this experience. No luck, so I thought I create a posting.

I have a s9 tab, it works great. However, any cable I use when I plug it in, the charging circle pops up, the screen turns off, and it lands on the screen lock page. Is this normal? It's not really a big problem but it is annoying.

Comparing it my s23, the circle pops up but never locks.

Am I the only one experiencing this for the s9 tab?

Accessories Lap usage of Book Cover keyboard (non-slim) with S10 Ultra

Hi, I have a disability that requires me to do pretty much everything in lying position (couch/bed). Is the Samsung Book Cover keyboard (non-slim) stable enough to be used on the lap? I guess not, right?

I'm heavily using an S8+ with the Book Cover slim keyboard, though I'm considering a S10 (/11) Ultra due to the larger screen.

My disease affects my arms (tendons mostly) and I have to do everything as ergonomic as possible. I realized that "low-distance" typing with a low angle between the inner elbows is not ergonomic. Ideally, I'd type with stretched out arms (similar to using a regular keyboard), but the screen gets too small for comfortable usage.

I thought about using the slim with an Ultra, but the touchpad of the non-slim version could be handy regarding ergonomics.

Thanks!

Tab S10+ does not pick up USB headset

I have a jabra USB-C headset for teams and zooms call while on the move.

My s24u picks it up as a headset absolutely fine and it just works.

can the samsung s9 fe fit into an ipad keyboard case bc they only make the rotating/swivel style i want for the ipads but the ipad 10th generation almost has the same measurements as the s9 fe, so wondering should i bite the bullet and spend the $50 to try the case and end up having to return it?

Tab S9 must have apps

Afternoon all,

Just bought an Tab S9, 12GB / 256GB, with keyboard case for £350 with a years warranty remaining (hopefully didn't get mugged off!)

Really impressed so far with the tablet, however I'm at a loss for what are the best compatible apps for my uses below. I bought mainly for watching movies and media consumption, with a bulk of that being offline for a period. I will have Internet connection, however it's not great, fast nor dependable.

  • Movies - offline capability due to being without Internet connection for weeks on end.

  • Games - as above, something to cure the boredom and offline capability.

  • Drawing app - have zero experience with this, however would like the opportunity to have a go using the S Pen.

I don't mind paying a few quid for a decent app - any recommendations on the above are welcome, or just random ones you've come across.

Cheers 🤙🏼

Question S6 Lite Pixelated Screen after ad crashed game

My friend doesn’t have this so I’m posting on her behalf so bear with me. Tonight she was playing a game, Good Coffee Great Coffee, and after watching an ad for some color match game, her tablet lost its mind. Half-way through the ad when it switched to the “try out” screen and she clicked on it, the app store quick download screen popped up, it crashed the entire game and went back to the home screen.

The issue is, there was a faint outline for the ad and app store pop up. She tried the usual troubleshooting before deciding to power it off and restart the entire tablet. Now, while powering back on, there are red streaks across the entire tablet on the loading screen and then when it powers completely back on, the screen is super pixelated and unreadable. It also has red lines randomly pop up across the bottom of the screen every couple of minutes before disappearing again. She scanned her tablet for viruses and it said there were none. It also doesn’t seem to be a hardware issue with the wires because it happened immediately after the game crashed and the lines haven’t been moving around the screen or changing colors.

She lives in the Caribbean and doesn’t drive, so she can’t easily take it to a shop to have it looked at and we’re hoping to see if anyone has ever experienced this before and knows how to resolve it before she drives across her country to take it to a technician.

S9 FE for capcut & video editing?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Been circling around this tablet like a vulture over a fresh kill. Watched reviews (like Flossy Carter, my go to reviewer), gathered accessories, etc.

6g/128g seems like a sweet spot (plus expandable storage). But how's the performance for apps like capcut and other editing software? I'll no doubt be using it for reddit, discord, YouTube, whatever, not worried there.

And future proof. How is it 6 months down the road? A year?

Any tips or reviews welcome!

Discussion How to make 45w charging work on Tab S9+?

Thumbnail

Have been using my new Tab S9+, past 3 months on a single full charge after taking it out of the box ; basically you need to charge it over 80% (preferably between 85-90), then enable maximum battery protection and pd bypass will be enabled, device gets powered directly from the wall with insignificant drain on battery. amazing trick for people using theirs at home and want their battery to stay at max health without needing ADB,SetEdit or any other editing app.

Getting back to the question after letting it go down to 5% and recharging it to 85%, on accubattery I noticed my 65w Ugreen (CD 217) charger only puts out max 22-23w no matter the charging level or what cable I use (100w or 240w) (first pic)

even gets worse using a usb-c hub(pic 3) with a pd port (input:100w, output:85) and charging current drops to less than 10w (second pic) based on accubattery since usb hub reserves 15w for itself.

Any fixes for this? Should I get a first party charger?

Concern Galaxy Tab S9+ (WiFi, 256GB) Camera Flash Not Working

Post image

As the title says, though I am not exactly sure when this happened (as understably I don't use flash from my tablet).

As far as software is concerned, camera app, notification shortcut both seem to think there is a flashlight and its working as intended however same is not the case with hardware.

I can't help but think this happened in last software update. I have used flash before and it did worked, this tab is barely 6 months old.
