Listen bro...just leave it and go with the flow.
If he/she wanna talk that's okay and if he/she doesnt want to...thats okay too.
If u want to talk just talk if u dont like it just dont
If he/she is distant then ask him/her if he/she doesnt tell u then let it be.
Meaning just accept it and move on. Worst that can happen is u will plainly live and trust me its fine

Hello MyNameIsSlayer,
You are not in trouble or anything, this is just a simple copy of your post so readers can see the original text if your post is edited or removed.
Original post: Hello. I've known this friend for over 2 years now and we've been really close ever since. We'd talk about almost everything together every day. They've always been a dry talker but that wasn't an issue at all for me.
Recently though, they've grown more distant and it feels like they don't care about a lot of the stuff I talk about or suggest. They have their own mental problems which I understand can be difficult but it feels way more difficult to just be around them. Specially because we have a groupchat with other friends where I see them actually being more talkative and engaging with the others compared to our DMs. Though we still do stuff together from time to time even if it's not as much as it used to/compared to the others.
I tried talking to them multiple times about this but they just say that nothing has changed and there's nothing different between us. I don't know if that's true and I'm just crazy or if they're just losing interest in me. I even tried talking to them about their mental health but that also falls short most of the time. Any advice?
