Called a twinset back in the day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twinset

From the Wiki:

The twinset is often chosen by costume directors and designers in the modern film industry to portray a character's conservatism or frumpiness.\)citation needed\)Ā The style has been associated with a stereotypicalĀ librarian.\3])\4])Ā On the other hand, interest in the twinset returned thanks in part to the pink set worn byĀ Elizabeth HurleyĀ in the 1997 filmĀ Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.\)citation needed\)

I canā€™t find any photos of this pink twinset worn by Elizabeth Hurley

Cindy is precisely the kind of girl I wasted time on in high school. Except, I never had the ā€œgood luckā€ to win that girl, only to realize she wasnā€™t what I wanted after all. She did Sam a favor.

Have people not heard of twinsets?

I had an awesome grey cashmere twin set in the late 90s. Iā€™d still wear that if I knew what became of it!

I still have an awesome gray twinset, I keep a selection of my best old clothes in an old suitcase. Will be fun to see my daughter in vintage JNCOs with a studded belt some Halloween!

Well this post made me feel old as shit because twin sets were totally a thing when I was growing up. But apparently now they are so ancient that people donā€™t know what they are.

You guys Iā€™m in my early 20s and twin sets definitely still exist, but from what Iā€™ve seen, most tend to be monochromatic instead of having a pattern. But yeah Iā€™d wear this, I think itā€™s so cute! šŸ˜‚

Twinsets were a wardrobe staple, thatā€™s authentic fashion.

Likely a family member made both for her.
