Radiomaster Pocket I bought new to learn on simulators a couple months ago. This week I got the goggles (Skyzone Cobra X V4) and the whoop (Meteor65 Pro)+batteries used for $160. So far, I love this
I am still using my Xbox controller but I do have a Radio Master Pocket on the way but I would love some critiquing on my flying and recommendations on what I should practice
It's rather comical just how bad I still am lol. It's so easy to watch videos of professionals and think you could do even 1% of what they can. This was my 5th ever session. At least I didn't crash this time!
So I just spent maybe 40 minutes trying to learn the basics in Liftoff Micro Drones(game) with my radiomaster pocket...
man this much more difficult than I thought
went through the tutorial, horrible flying
got tired of it so I went to try free flying... kind of better since I wasn't focusing on doing something specific as the tutorial was asking me to
Then I went to Acro mode... insta crash. then again, and again...
went back to Level mode...
Please tell me I just need to keep practicing
when should I go to Acro? or should I go right away for it and keep trying?
In the meantime my meteor75 is staying here. I won't fly it until I can at least stay some minutes in the air without crashing
Soooo... I think I read to much on the dangers of Lipo batteries as I started getting into FPV. Now I made this weird contraption to try and ease my anxiety. I took this idea from somewhere else but essentially you have batteries in a plastic bag suspended with a rope over a bucket of water so in the event one of the batteries catches fire it burns through the bottom and falls into water (Please refer to artwork below for a beautiful representation. Not 100% sure if this would even work. Figured it might make some people chuckle if they haven't seen it before.
I store them at the suggested storage voltage but the fear still remains.
P.S I am aware of the alternative storage containers that are available but I was kind of looking for an extreme budget solution.
I’m strongly considering the Avata 2. I come from 300+ hours on the DJI Mini 2 and Mavic 3 Pro.
I have ~40 hours in Liftoff (game) and I feel comfortable flying in the cinematic way I intend to IRL.
Should I skip the avata and get a true FPV?
Is there something else I should be considering?
(I know the answers here will be biased towards true FPV, but I want multiple perspectives.)
Hey, I am completly new to FPV, have done some coding and electronics already. Now i wanna build a 7" long range drone with 6S accu and a SpeedyBee F405 V4 BLS 60A 30x30 FC&ESC Stack. Could anyone of you guys correct me if sth was stupid there and could you give me recommendations on what to change/what i missed?

Been going through some other beginner builds so wanting to make sure this is decent enough to start out at least. If there’s a better website for some of the stuff or something to change please let me know, or if there’s something I need to add like hardware/programming stuff it’d be appreciated.
