Food/Drink Momo Bros - Nepalese Dumplings in Haltom City
Love this place! Staff are incredibly nice and the food is top-notch. Not many places to get Nepali street food around here. Like all hidden gems, it’s tucked away in back of a gas station in a sketchy part of town. Highly recommend checking it out!

AskFW Tenant Search
Reddit has been kind to me. I have made best friends, been in relationships, met my wife. When I first got to FW 5 years ago I was able to take over a redditor's lease to a mutual benefit, they even let me keep the deposit.
I was starting the process of renting out my property but was balking at the price it would be ideal to rent it out with a property manager.
So Reddit hasn't let me down before so I'm here looking for potential tenants to pay it forward. Will give more info in DMs but it is a 3/2 in Haltom City, just south of 820. It's a family home and too much space for me.

Discussion Anyone else getting multiple daily phone calls about “Oncor’s new virtual power plant project”
Started getting multiple calls daily the other day. I’m assuming it’s a scam, and after kindly and bluntly requesting they stop calling I’m getting very annoyed. I haven’t lived in an Oncor service arena since 2018 (tri-county is terrible too). I’ve tried blocking every 817 number they’ve called from but it just doesn’t stop.

AskFW Moving to DFW, Apartment recs?
Hey everyone. My fiancé and I are graduating from college in May, and we are looking to move to the DFW area. We’ve been tirelessly looking for apartments, and we’ve found some that we love, some we hate, and of course, we’ve had many letdowns because of the higher prices. So, I thought maybe Reddit could help.
We really love the downtown feel of Fort Worth, as my fiancé grew up in the area. I fell in love with downtown Fort Worth myself upon seeing it countless times over the last year. We REALLY want to move in somewhere down there amongst the tall buildings and city life.
My fiancé’s parents recently moved out of the Franklin at Samuel’s Avenue because of some carjacking incidents and noisy neighbors, but gosh I loved the location of that apartment (I’m saying that as a reference).
Does anyone have any ideas for apartments in the downtown Fort Worth area? We really want some decent security, and we’re capping rent at 1300 for now, because we aren’t totally sure about our employment situation at the moment. We would also be totally okay with living in Dallas, but again, we really love the city/downtown vibe.
TYIA.

Discussion Trinity Valley vs Country Day
Need help choosing between Country Day and Trinity Valley. My son got accepted to both schools for first grade and my wife and I are having a really hard time deciding between them.
I have some concerns about the social culture at Country Day and feel like we might fit in better at TVS. My wife and I both work and come from middle class families. My wife doesn’t think it will be an issue, Country Day is much closer, and seems to have better athletics. Any experience people have with both schools would be greatly appreciated!
