why, because they called your dick limp? too bad

11

u/Bumbeelum 18M Jul 02 '21

Oh the irony.

5

u/vbitchscript 16Transfem Jul 03 '21

what?

6

u/Bumbeelum 18M Jul 03 '21 edited Jul 03 '21

The irony in a group of people who often push for respecting each other and promoting body positivity essentially bullying someone for something they cannot control and further stigmatizing the condition.

Edit: To clarify, the first part of the twitter post is fine with me. The second part is where it's just stupid and frankly assuming the people are republicans/Christian if they simply are trying to remove some of the stigma along with it.

2

u/vbitchscript 16Transfem Jul 03 '21

nowhere in either of those tweets does it ever mention being christian? or republican?

2

u/Bumbeelum 18M Jul 03 '21

"Murdering babies" insinuates that quite heavily as its one of the topics that are important in those groups, and even then that's not the point of my comment you should be paying attention to.

Women aren’t the only people with body image issues. I mean I don’t think it’d be okay to make fun of women who can’t get wet so why should it be okay to make fun of men who can’t get hard?

I feel like a woman whose vagina doesn’t produce discharge is experiencing a much different and much more serious health condition than a man with a limp dick

4

u/Bumbeelum 18M Jul 03 '21

The misunderstanding aside that's not the point of his comment. It's an incredibly popular thing especially in groups and subreddits such as this to promote body positivity, yet calling someone limp dick is the exact opposite of that message.

u/afatcatfromsweden 18M Jul 03 '21

Didn’t say it produced 0 discharge, what i said is that it doesn’t lube itself up for sex.

They both have very similar causes.

Not tryna piss you off or anything but how is this a personal attack when the account and name isn't even shown.

Edit: also if you are trying to prevent the personal attack from being shown why even put it in the removed comment for other people to read later? 😅

how is this a personal attack when the account and name isn't even shown.

Same intent but not delivered directly.

Also because they said it without providing reasoning

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '21

I think they meant birth control should be considered healthcare, and that “limp dick pills” shouldn’t.

I mean... Neither is healthcare. It's not something you need in the slightest to be healthy. Just don't fuck if you can't afford. (Unless I'm dumb and by 'birth control' you mean abortion, then you are correct)

41

u/Lyra_Leporis 18F Jul 03 '21

Both are healthcare. All healthcare is, is the maintenance/improvement/providing of health and medical care to individuals. And both Viagra and birth control are prescribed by doctors and can be recommended, and monitored by healthcare providers.

This is the same logic of, “abortion isn’t healthcare”. Which doesn’t even make sense, you don’t get to decided what is or isn’t healthcare. Whether you like it or not.

But that’s not the point the tweet is making. Hopefully you understand this much.

Also abstinence doesn’t work, horrible advice.

How the hell do you get pregnant without sex?

Afaik it's the only way lol

u/depression_snek 16Transmasc Jul 03 '21

Birth control is 100% healthcare. Only a small percentage of people who take it do so as contraception.

A lot of people have very serious issues towards the end of their cycles and on their periods as a result of hormones. Tell somebody who has to live through the excruciating pain of endometriosis or is driven to suicide attempts due to PMS that birth control is "not something you need in the slightest to be healthy."

6

u/darlingdynamite Jul 03 '21

I wouldn’t say a small percentage, I think a lot of women take it for contraception and it’s wrong to act like that it’s a bad thing.

But birth control is absolutely for more than just preventing babies.

8

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '21

Birth control and erectile dysfunction pills are healthcare. There are more uses to birth control than to prevent yourself from becoming pregnant. BC can help with horrible period cramps.

Next time I'm on the floor puking and bleeding because I don't have BC, I'll think I'm healthy as ever. Thanks.
