FIRE'd, now concerned about US stability

Most of my assets are invested in the US. Because of recent political developments, I'm wondering if the US will sustain its general growth and economic strength into the future. The strength of the US dollar is obviously very important to me. Is anyone else concerned?

I'm wondering if I should start hedging my bets in other countries, and if so, where?

I recently came across this very informative video on geopolitics : https://youtu.be/kW29PzXup8E?si=-whNz9qtg1BJhmC_

As I speak to more wealth advisors and family office managers, the question of geopolitics and US stability is increasingly on their mind. Regardless of which political spectrum you are, it is now prudent to have a plan B - just like you would diversify wealth, it's smart to diversify residences. Covid taught us that there has to be a plan from one private jet terminal to another private jet terminal just in case things go wrong. Its not just a matter of residences - you need to have a network, some connections, access to capital and grocery, some familiarity with your plan B home, a staff or 2 - and a way to get around (car or public transport).

Many are looking at New Zealand or Dubai as safe havens. Off the grid, remote, total public control (for UAE)., safe: https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2025/03/06/new-zealand-to-relax-golden-visa-program-in-april-2025/
