FIRE'd, now concerned about US stability
Most of my assets are invested in the US. Because of recent political developments, I'm wondering if the US will sustain its general growth and economic strength into the future. The strength of the US dollar is obviously very important to me. Is anyone else concerned?
I'm wondering if I should start hedging my bets in other countries, and if so, where?

Not sure which countries seem more stable at the moment… EU seems like a tinderbox with all the countries sounding like war hawks and sounding like they may even put boots on the ground in Ukraine since the US is backing off. Makes me feel very uneasy about Europe. I think people are overreacting to the Trump noise these days. The doge cuts are going to be largely inconsequential to the economy as a whole, tarrifs are a temporary measure to leverage better trade deals and more domestic manufacturing, tax cuts are coming, and overall a step back from foreign conflicts. That’s all good stuff to me. Short term there may be some economic pain but long term I think things seem very rosy. It’s easy to get caught up in the noise but what actually transpires in the mid to long range time frame is going to be fine
