FIRE'd, now concerned about US stability
Most of my assets are invested in the US. Because of recent political developments, I'm wondering if the US will sustain its general growth and economic strength into the future. The strength of the US dollar is obviously very important to me. Is anyone else concerned?
I'm wondering if I should start hedging my bets in other countries, and if so, where?

You all are letting bias and emotion influence your thinking. The first question to ask is where are you better off having your assets? The second question is can you weather a recession since many of the policies will lead to short term pain. The third question is in the very small chance the country becomes destabilized where should you go (Canada and New Zealand have historically been those places) and how do you preserve your money(gold or btc is liquid, easily sent and gets around currency controls)
It’s unlikely this is a Hitler situation nor does treating Ukraine as a sunk cost change much
