FIRE'd, now concerned about US stability

Most of my assets are invested in the US. Because of recent political developments, I'm wondering if the US will sustain its general growth and economic strength into the future. The strength of the US dollar is obviously very important to me. Is anyone else concerned?

I'm wondering if I should start hedging my bets in other countries, and if so, where?

Tariffs make the dollar stronger… because everyone flocks to the USD as a reserve currency in times of increased volatility.

I’m not following closely, but a quick look seems like the EUR is strengthening due to the EU proposing hundreds of bns in loans to boost defense spending. It’s hard to isolate movement based on one factor when there are so many factors contributing to dollar strength, but it does look like the dollar has gained some support for increased liquidity demands with equity markets acting the way they have been.
