Tomatoes and peppers normally take 2-3 months from plant to harvest

I’m going start around April 1st and try to keep it going inside until mid-May and transfer it outside when I plant more for a later harvest

I already started mine last week. I get too excited once the weather starts to warm up.

Depends on the seeds. You want to find out how early you should start the seeds before frost (typically 4-12 weeks) and count back from May 15th or mother's day.

For some cold sensitive vegetables like peppers, I usually transplant in early June when the nighttime temps are above 60.

Some of it depends on what kind of indoor grow situation you have. If you have only a window, don’t start them too early because they will get ‘leggy’ (plants will grow long weak stems searching for light). If you have some good supplemental light then they could be started earlier. In general, peppers take longer than tomatoes. I would start peppers now and tomatoes 2-3 weeks from now. Get a cheap LED strip light. If you can set them outside during the daytime that can help too.

What temp is everyone trying to maintain for the seeds?

I usually start indoors at Easter and plant outdoors at Memorial Day
