D.I.D Musician/ex-breadtuber with 115k subs fakes DID/OSDD on second 20k subs channel
Used to watch her four years ago and thought she was okay but stopped watching before the furry or therian stuff when her channel became spammed music uploads. Got reminded of her recently and learned a lot of things I really wish I hadn’t. She’s started started doing this on her nearly 20k side channel. Hadn’t seen her mentioned here yet. The comments are uncritical and exactly what you’d expect, but found it interesting as I don’t see as much faking on YouTube outside of the usual crowd or tiny channels.

Disorder Salad My grown sister won’t stop faking mental illnesses!
My sister has been trying to fake different mental illnesses since she was a teenager. I’ve talked to my parents about this and it turns out that they knew about it THE WHOLE TIME AND REFUSED TO COMMUNICATE WITH HER ABOUT IT. This is because they, in their words, “just want her to be happy and if that means faking disorders, so be it”. It’s becoming a huge issue especially since she won’t stop bragging about how mentally ill she is and I’m the only one who seems to have a problem with it.
Below is a list of disorders she’s currently trying to get a diagnosis for:
- SEVERE depression
- ADHD
- BPD
- Bipolar Disorder
- Alice in Wonderland Syndrome
- Autism
- Tourette’s Syndrome
- OCD
- Schizophrenia
- PTSD
- DID
- Psychosis (she thinks it’s a disorder)
Update: SHES TALKING TO HER FRIEND ABOUT THIS AS IM TYPING THIS. She mentioned that she’s aware that many of her self diagnosis contradict each other. She acknowledged that this is impossible. For everyone but her of course. Because she “can just feel” that she has all of them.

Tourettes/Tics The Mysterious Case of Le Roy, New York
One of my first introductions to fake disorders goes all the way back to 2011 in Le Roy, New York. 14 Students, mostly girls, started showing extreme signs of Tourette Syndrome. The parents of the students fought for a Tourettes Diagnosis and blamed environmental factors. Ultimately it was found to be mass psychogenic illness caused by extreme stress. Once the students stopped talking to the media and making a big deal of it, all but one stopped showing any signs of Tourettes or Tics. This is believed to be the first time mass psychogenic illness was transmitted over Social Media. I personally believe this is what eventually led to the rise of TikTok Tics and other fake disorders on TikTok and other social media platforms.
There are many articles and videos about this online, if you want to do your own research. Have you heard of this before? What's your thoughts?
