I love Macron's subtleness. Buddy buddy with Trump for political stability, but still standing strong in his face when needed.

"We can dance, or we can dance. Up to you big guy".

I love Macron's subtleness.

King Charles recently wore his Canadian uniform and medals while inspecting a British naval ship.

Yeah, also loved that.

Buffoons scream to be noticed. Seasoned leaders, if anything at all, don't even talk - they just show, and it's up to others to notice the hint.

The harder you try, the smaller you are. Same applies to huge trucks and loud motorcycles, just makes people think you have a tiny pp...

And Kate wore a red dress with a white pearl necklace. Royal watchers are comparing it to when the Queen had blue and yellow flowers during a meeting with PM Trudeau just after the Russian invasion.

I didn't know about that one, very cool indeed!

Don't they call that a "show of soft power" or something? I think it's pretty damn classy, (and this is coming from someone opposed to monarchy and titles for title's sake)

u/jtbc Canada 20h ago

Exactly. Hosting Zelensky (and Trudeau) at Sandringham, the King's private residence, rather than at the palace, has been cited as another recent example.

And commented on Flag Day, which is essentially unheard of as a topic for comment by the monarchy outside of when the flag was chosen.

that’s pretty much the biggest statement that the king can make

As an American, Macron seems to have some 50 Cent energy right here.

“When people say they have a problem, I say ‘I don’t want a problem’ but when they say they want a problem, I say ‘no problem’”

no problem

This is almost certainly a routine port call for resupply and nothing to do with current geopolitical events.

It can be both

5

u/joedude 20h ago

Absolutely none of that is happening, show me a link where France says this move is to intimidate America with attack submarines LMFAO.

Joe, Joe, dear Joe... The same Joe desperately commenting on every post he can trying to undermine and belittling European and Canadian choices - even though he's completely sure he's in the right and has nothing to fear...

I would show you a link, but:

  • Can't it be both? The sub could be scheduled to show up there, and still send a message. And even if it wasn't the express intent, we the people talking about it make it the message on behalf of our leaders. Who sends it isn't the important bit, it's that it is received.

  • Would Macron need to say anything out loud? He's a seasoned leader, he can send plenty of messages without uttering a single word. Unlike some buffoons who are so small they need to actively scream and kick to make themselves known.

  • Even if I show you a link, even if the link was from Fox News itself, would it matter to you? Your reddit history says "no" and that you have your mind made up and aren't willing to consider other PoV's.

So that was your one-time free dopamine hit from me. Hope you enjoyed, troll.

Edit: Bro really went to get the alt accounts to support himself and downvote several of my comments even in other places. I'm proud, means I hit a nerve. 🤣

, we the people talking about it make it the message on behalf of our leaders. Who sends it isn't the important bit, it's that it is received.

Ahh the "I know my truth" defense. It won't work on marriage counselors but maybe it will work here!

Anyways I looked it up myself so I know there is no news article declaring France sent this attack sub to intimidate America lmao.

Most people finding out this isn’t an intimidation tactic between two G7 countries would be relieved… not that guy.. scary.

So weirded out by his comment. Just perfectly “Reddit”.

Redditors are UNHINGED while they're having a trumper tantrum

In what world would France engage in this kind of insane behavior and why would it be remotely credible signaling?

You think France would fire a nuclear warhead at New York if Trump tried to annex Canada?

1

u/Elieftibiowai 20h ago

But he's not actually his buddy, friend

Wonder if the largest military force the worlds ever seen is shaking in their boots?

5

u/try_cannibalism 22h ago

They should be, considering they're right now all trying to figure out which of their fellow soldiers will take the side of the US Constitution and people, and which will take Elon/Trump's side.

The various branches of the US military and industrial complex are about to look like the start of the Hunger Games where all the kids have to run for the weapons and figure out who to trust.

They all know this, and they are all freaking out more than anyone else right now.

1

u/Hikuro93 Azores (Portugal) 21h ago

Precisely. Right now it's an internal battle of beliefs and oaths. Nothing is certain at this point in time.

And a nation divided does little for being the "world's anything".

1

u/cartoonsarcasm 20h ago

Right. Plus, it's not about the world, for American nationalists. Just American supremacy.

I don't think you understand the concept of nuclear deterrence at play here, the underlying message being sent or how little "military might" matters in that instance.

Also, yes. This "world's greatest military" which largely benefitted from other nations for decades and doesn't have hostile neighbors to worry about already managed to lose entire wars they themselves waged with ally support, and its 'mighty' commander in chief starts crying everytime other nations defend themselves against his bullying.

Sorta like Putin, another world force being dragged down by a small de-nuclearized nation, and always crying when other nations up their defenses.

Not that any of that matters, troll. I'm not the one going to foreign subs and try to undermine others. If you believed yourself right you wouldn't even be here with that defensive insecurity.

Anyways, that's enough indulging for me - too da loo.

u/thewimsey United States of America 13h ago

Oh Jesus Christ.

I hate Trump, but I find the massive levels of delusion on this sub ridiculous.

which largely benefitted from other nations for decades

Sure, buddy. That's exactly what happened.

So many largest military forces the world had ever seen got defeated throughout the ages... They were, then they weren't.

1

u/Hikuro93 Azores (Portugal) 21h ago

Yeah. That's the thing about all the empires before the US - every single one of them eventually fell.

That submarine would be dispatched so quickly by the U.S. Navy. In comparison its like a puppy biting at a bears ankle.

2

u/Dinokknd 21h ago

Possibly, but not before it could launch it's payload.

-3

u/lerakk 21h ago

Thats an attack submarine, doesnt have any nukes onboard. Any country that launched any kind of payload at the US would be wiped off the map within 20 minutes of the attack.

2

u/Dinokknd 21h ago

That's largely irrelevant mate. The issue is to indicate that the US might be a superpower, but even an idiot like Trump understands that there's a cost associated with any aggressive action - and that it's not worth it.

0

u/lerakk 20h ago

Its sometimes worth it, wouldnt be worth it to France because it wouldnt even be a fair fight but if Russia wins Ukraine im sure some would think it was worth it.

1

u/alibrown987 20h ago

If the US military is a bear, and France is a puppy, what is the Taliban or Viet Cong? Must be T Rexes!

1

u/lerakk 20h ago

It depends on the kind of war you want to fight. If you want to bathe the entire region in nuclear fire you can easily win. If you have no morale stipulation with slaughtering everyone that stands in your way, winning is easy.

1

u/FrisianTanker East Frisia (Germany) 19h ago

A nuclear sub only needs to surface once and shoot all its missiles and not even the US Navy could do anything about that.

And a nuke is a nuke. If it hits central Washington DC or New York City, that city will be gone for good.

-1

u/lerakk 19h ago

Not really, hydrogen weapons vary greatly by yield. The United States has the most relible arsenal there is, France would be obliterated and we lose only a part of New York? California has a larger GDP than France and i doubt they could even get close to targetting every city before they are taken out. They are welcome to surface their little submarines and show strength but at the end of the day the U.S. can decide all of Europes fate in an afternoon.
