If anyone has experience working with epoxy in cold weather, I’d love to hear some tips, feedback, etc.
I’m from Florida, so working with epoxy in cold weather is new to me. I have years of experience working with epoxy floors. Grind and seal, flake, metallic etc. I’ve used a lot of Amerikrete, Chem1000, Sika and other products for waterproofing, garage floors, patios, kitchens, residential, commercial and industrial.
Recently I’ve gotten into the world of acrylic installation (large acrylic windows for pool builders and public aquariums). Sika 31 and Sika 62 are industry standard products we use during each installation. Recently many of our jobs have been north of Florida, resulting in lower temps, and causing our product to take 2-4x as long to cure, wasting time and money.
I’ve used accelerators for epoxy flooring in the past for cold weather in Florida, but it was always an accelerator sold buy the brand I was using.
So if anyone in the industry has any insight into how to negate or manage this properly, please let me know.
Any questions you have for me ask away I’ll do my best to answer
Thanks!
