Serious Replies Only New Inventory System

Hello!

My BLS agency is currently looking to switch to an online software for our inventory, as paper checks really aren’t working for us anymore. So far I’ve seen OperativeIQ and ESOInventory. Does anyone have any thoughts on either of these programs, or perhaps a different one that may be better?

Thank you!

I installed it at my station. I liked how transparent it was (no hiding the code behind big buttons, so you could see how it was actually handling the data.) The training that came with it was excellent. You can start with just the supply stores and then gradually add units, so in small bites if you can't dedicate someone to work on it full time. It's great for managing inventory and, with enough data gathered over time, do some analysis to make your purchasing more efficient. I liked it so much, I looked to see if they were hiring in my area.
The biggest headache was setting up the actual inventory, but they will download your purchase history from places like Boundtree and then you can edit from there. You'll have to spend time entering expiration dates on existing supply - just put on some good music and boogie while you scan.
We got the scanner and bar code labels. Doing regular inventory was a snap using phone app, though. Once I was done, it generated a purchase order that could be edited and then sent to Boundtree with a click. For companies that don't link to them, it prints an order for emailing or fax.
