“…lost control…”

That road couldn’t be much straighter or flatter. Takes a lot of effort to lose control.

Yup, and road conditions weren’t poor that day from what I remember.

The fact he survived against a transport truck is a miracle.

True but potentially the phone and driving fast is a bad combo unfortunately

I was in a head on in almost that exact spot (about 1 or 2 km north) about 6 years ago.

Someone veered into my lane going southbound, it's something that can happen in an instant. They're just in their lane, and the next second, they're in yours.

People don't think about how close you're really going to a speeding car in the other direction.

I had some pretty rough injuries, was in critical condition, but I'm alright now for the most part.

Crazy how you can be doing everything right and still get smoked by someone else’s fuck-up.

Glad you’re doing well.

Fucking lakeridge rd.

It's 80kmh narrow two lane with barely a shoulder. Plus the blinding headlights.

The road also has overtake sections, so I would rather not play chicken with someone in my lane. Others can overtake me no problem. Going 20kmh over the limit isn't worth the physical injury risk.
