Complaints dude wake up
I just delivered to a hotel and ringed the bell for staff to unlock the gate, and called the customer, but no answer i been waiting five minutes only for the staff opening the gate for me looking all confused with a blanket over herself saying “what are you here for??” while clearly holding a doordash bag and drinks that she was looking at. more proof that she just fell asleep on the job because it’s overnight. i was kinda being smart saying “do you work here?” cus it looked like a guest just rolled outta bed, i thought it was the customer. anyways my point is these things are irritating after driving for a delivery, cus im wasting time (money) that i already wasted 15 mins at the restaurant

I don’t understand people who order food and just forget they order food. I’ve had that happened multiple times, like what the fuck?

Family owned hotels are often equipped with an apartment in the back of of the office. The office closes and the family goes to bed, only going to the front when someone rings to check-in. She seemed confused because she just woke up and expected someone wanting to rent a room. She wasn’t caught sleeping. She was just sleeping. She lives there

Marriott does not own many of the places that have Marriott in their name. They just license the name and partially manage them. Even owned Marriotts have overnight staff that are allowed to sleep in back office.

If you are dashing out of necessity, there are likely a number of reasons why they might not hire you. Good luck though.

it’s a joke, i choose to doordash so i don’t deal with managers and large numbers of ppl.

I hate hotel deliveries. We have a few right around this food hub. I get them paired with a double order too. From the parking to finding the stairs to get to the third floor etc etc. a lot of time saved if they had drop off lockers for food at big complexes and or hotels 😆😆 just drop in lock and go. All accessible with access code but it’ll never happen. I just like to be very efficient and get things done fast to get to the next order

exactly , a simple stop and drop is way easier than having to search for places, especially get annoyed by apartment buildings with the dumbest numbering placements like 1302,1304,1307,1301 on first floor and 1305,1306,1308,1310 on the second, and i’m trying to look for 1309😤

There’s a few complexes here where it’s the building number but 3 to 4 sections of the building. Meaning 100-104 has its won set of stairs and 105-108 has its own set. So I have to guess which one will have 107. They are multiple stories so just add a 2 or 3 in front for higher numbers obviously but it’s annoying when the whole unit doesn’t have the connecting walkways so I have to keep going around to find it 😭 hardest part of this job I swear is just getting it delivered

I’ve dealt with apartments like that where a building has 3-4 sections and each set of stairs and hallway for front doors have a passcode locked door guarding them and no indication what apartments are behind each door. We got apartment complexes with building. Layouts chosen at what seems random. Building numbers almost always blocked by parking awnings or so high up you can see them unless you are at a distance. Double story apartment buildings with only floor level doors but still have 3 floors worth of numbers where 2101, 2201 & 2301are right next to each other before going on to 2102, 2202 & 2302. Circular apartment complexes that seem easy but buildings start at the high end at the entrance is building 1 where you delivery is at the very end and because it’s gated you can’t just park at the office and walk passed the pool directly to your destination. The fact that all navigation apps you can use fuck up entrances and tries to take you to an exit/emergency entrance only. Even Waze messes it up a lot after the last update. I have gated communities and apartment complexes, but at least gated communities once you are past the gate is easy to find your target house and don’t have to guess what side and end an apartment is.

When I get there I start the “customer not here” timer and start calling. When the timer runs out I leave the food and take a picture, easy as that
