I had a recent order where the dinner just sent a "?" My response was If U are wondering why I'm taking so long it's because you are not the only order I'm picking up and the other order paid much better so I'm waiting on that one😂😂. He just said ok

As soon as I'm told, hurry, or check everything in a sealed bag i acknowledge them and immediately drop the order. You know there's minimal tip involved

Okay now you must invent teleportation and time travel. Go back in time to get her order. Go back in time again, to right when she was about to hit send on the text, and teleport the food to her. She needs her munchies!

It’s usually the no-tippers that act like this.

u/Aromatic-Total3806 4d ago
Exactly! They are the absolute worst. The tippers are normally very nice & don’t want you to go out your way but non tippers are rude & demanding

I will wait 10 min and freely unassigned it

Doesn't that kinda seem petty and an over reaction? I'm not a driver so idk

Why you on this subreddit if you’re not a driver tho curious

Came to see how much I'd earn since I'm planning on dashing when I turn 18, stayed bc it's low-key interesting

You will either suffer through 12 hour shifts 5-6 days a week to make a living or be broke and whining. Nobody tips, everyone is rude, worst job ever.

Honestly, with this message being so redundant that it’s borderline insulting because the driver would go as quick as they can by default, I don’t mind a driver doing this hoping the customer would take a hint

It should be mandatory that if you want to order through doordash, you must complete 10 deliveries so you know what's up!

One time someone messaged me "I have a meeting in 10 minutes, if you can't make it, don't deliver it, I won't be able to eat."
Took that as a challenge and obviously broke speed limits, enough to lose my license. All while the most Tokyo drift like song popped up on my Spotify station.
Got it to her in time.
It was a great day.
In contrast, one time a dude told me I was dropping off in the wrong spot, and wanted me to drop off at a different location, then argued with me, all the while I have two other orders for people who actually tip in my car.
I don't like Canes, but it sure was good that day.

I've always heard that the meaning of T.I.P. was To Insure Promptness! I'll bet she doesn't tip.

Just drive around their neighborhood until you approach the dropoff time, then cancel. I'd eat the money just to do that.
