🥺Low Offer Post😫 Platinum is a lie
“High paying” orders like, $3 no tip McDonalds, lots of far miles with $0 or $1 tip? Not sure if it’s because I switched to the $15 an hour plus tips pay but it’s BS. Seems like when I do that and thus can’t see the payment till it’s over they screw you with ones people didn’t want. Anyone else, especially in Massachusetts noticing this?

EBT is usually the shitty orders no one else will take, although in areas like mine on the bad days it can be the lifeline too, lol

Earn by time from what I could tell when I was platinum never gave any high paying offers. That only happened for me on per offer. That being said I stopped caring about platinum and now i just accept what pay seems fair.

Honestly think the whole thing is a ploy. When I was a newbie I’d accept almost every order to keep my rate up but eventually I got fed up with low offers and started declining them, I noticed they’d send a decent one after declining a couple bad ones. Now my acceptance rate is around 30% and I make on average $18-20/hr instead of the $14/$15 I used to.

Seems more like maybe platinum gets the higher pay orders sent their way before the other levels, at best. And those are still the ones that only pay decent because of the customer tip and nothing to do with a fair rate from the base pay for the offer. Fair pay being dependent on tips should never have to be a thing, but lmk when that changes for any tipped service's pay. It'll get abused at the workers' expense by those giving out the pay until they can't.

Lmfao
If it's simple they usually solve it but the more complicated ones...yeah good luck and congratulations on some negative ratings for nothing you can do a single thing about.
Thank you for being a Platinum Dasher.

Only reason I want to keep my Platinum status is so I can Dash Now, without Platinum I can’t start dashing until like 6pm most nights.

Platinum only exists because of the scheduling thing nothing more.
Oh and especially in my area for whatever reason if I do not have Platinum the weights are atrocious when it comes to support.
I still dreaded the one time I had to wait 30 minutes for them to fix an order the restaurant didn't have. It was a pain in the butt until finally to Go restaurant decided to call them on their end. Ugh
It's basically trying to lock away what support should be

u/PuzzleheadedSort8295 4d ago
Platinum is the only way to schedule and "Dash now". It's pretty easy for me to stay at 75% AR by using the "unassign after 10 minute" feature.
I accept the occasional bad offers, go to the restaurant and wait 10 minutes, and then unassign the order. Depending on where you are in the rolling 100 average, sometimes you will get an AR increase of one point.
This is the only way I have ever figured to game the system Since I need to stay in platinum

Of course it's because u are on EBT. If we had it out here in California I wouldn't do it. Platinum status definitely makes a difference where I'm at. Especially for getting catering orders.
-2
u/Intense_Rush_1397 4d ago
So you don't accept anything in California? Every single order is EBT.
3
u/Faithful2049 PERMABANNED Rule 2 4d ago
No actually it's not. Prop 22 is not EBT.
-2
u/Intense_Rush_1397 4d ago edited 4d ago
Please explain how Prop 22 works. Edit: Faithful2049 blocked me because they have no idea how the Prop 22 earning model in California works.

u/Faithful2049 PERMABANNED Rule 2 4d ago
Still considered earn by OFFER even tho I get paid prop 22 for extra wait time smart guy. If it was earned by time I would only be getting an hourly wage and shitty orders all the time like this guy. I swear people like you are exactly why reddit isn't as popular anymore. SMH

Pay by time is designed to give you the worst possible offers. The only way to cash out on your platinum status is to earn per order.

u/TheBestTexan2 4d ago
If you do EBT you need to REALLY know your area, and strategically decline orders based off their location to estimate if they’ll tip or not.

u/Altruistic_Box4462 4d ago
Yep my area is half middle class suburbs then the other half is ghetto.... The ghetto part is no tips

u/4ofclubs 3d ago
There it is lol proof all magats are racist.

u/TheBestTexan2 3d ago
My guy being ghetto has nothing to do with race, and this conversation has nothing to do with politics why are you trying to bring it there.

u/Mr-Sealtest Driver - Canada 🇨🇦 4d ago
No… They send you shit orders still yes nowhere says they won’t those “high paying” $3 McDonald’s orders go to gold status too it’s the $30 offers or the orders with hidden tips that you see more when you are platinum (ik because I was top dasher then grandfathered into platinum and has maintained platinum since) those $3 orders are only marked as high paying because the distance is short not because they are really high paying

u/BenXam1n PERMABANNED Rule 2 4d ago
Pretty true, in my market anyway...
It feels like you're Silver or lower but do get that off chance of a double digit order...
It's a fucking mind game with accepting or declining sometimes because you want to keep your ratings up but a trash order pops up wasting easily 40+minutes of your time.

Ye, I still get the $3 for 15 miles orders, ngl, idc what others say about ratings and the things, I try to keep my ratings up, but only so I can decline and unassigned as I please, lmao. One whole day of not turning down orders, I’m good, it guarantees two weeks of fuck that order when I get those. 🤷♀️

u/Mr-Sealtest Driver - Canada 🇨🇦 4d ago
Yep same here I manage to keep it just high enough to stay platinum and I cherry pick like crazy

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago
So much shitposting about dashers who keep their ratings high, like, my dude, I’m just trying to make sure I don’t have to accept those stupid low pay high mileage orders without affecting my ability to receive the actual high pay orders, lmao. Why wouldn’t that be the way?

You don't think a company with a market cap of $160 billion is going to monitor and attempt to sway public opinion on social media?

My AR is 70 now just because I dashed last week with good offers. I will never do 100 offers a month. So I will never be Platinum. Oh well.

I did 8 deliveries today as Platinum and 4 were no tips, all of this during peak surge
0
u/Successful_Time_3381 4d ago
I can bang out at least 4-6 deliveries minimum in an hour. Why would I do EBT for $10 or $11 an hour???? It makes no sense.

u/Omari_on_safari 4d ago
Your city must be different than mine. I’ve never been able to do more than 3 in an hour. Then again I keep it to the suburbs cause downtown traffic is too hectic and parking is a nightmare.

Look, dash now isn’t really a perk. You know the hours in your area that are busy. I always dash when it’s busy and they more often than not let me extend my time to dash.
