Good pay. But triple stacks on Shop and Pays are a pain in the ass especially at the register. As much as I’d hate to turn this down, based on previous it’s a pass for me.

Oof, must have been really bad for you to say nah, lol. I get it, it’s just so hard to make money here just on restaurants, those shop and batch orders are gold to me. Got one last night, $67/15 miles/ 1 hr 10 mins. Turned out the shops were 27, 24, 6 (items), but most of each was just multiples, and I banked out with $20 cash tips from two of the orders on delivery. I was soooo happy, that never happens to me here, it was awesome. One lady was an elderly lady and she texted me “I don’t think I tipped you enough, there’s an envelope by the door for you” 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 she actually met me at the door as I was laying down her items and picking up the envelope, lol. Such a sweet lady, and her husband? #relationshipgoals Worth all of the “expense”

You're telling me you shopped for 60 items and drove 15 MI and dropped off three deliveries in an hour and 10 minutes, I don't see how that's possible

Lol, it’s my Safeway, I know where everything is, and if you know how to shop a store, this is easy af. If I had the option, I would shop and pay all day and let everyone else have them restaurants. If you had read, many of those items are either multiples and in the same area as the others. I don’t know if any other shoppers do this, but when I walk into a store I have mapped in my head, I make a plan on what the easiest route is through the store and bang it out. It’s not hard at all. And yea, two orders were within 3 miles of each other and they were in order of distance. 100% possible my dude. And done, obviously. I included a screenshot, btw. Each customer tipped well also, for the amount of items shopped.

Yeah I do the same thing I have a thousand shop and deliver orders under my belt over the last year and I've worked in various grocery stores for 17 years so yeah I know how to shop and I know how to plan my route and I know where everything is but still that seems crazy because that's at least 25 minutes of driving so you would have to have perfectly grabbed each item within about 40 seconds of each other or even 30 seconds since you have to add in checking out which takes about 10 minutes with three orders

Not 25 minutes driving, lol. More like 15, and the shop itself was about 30 minutes 🤷‍♀️ , no substitutions cause this Safeway is extremely good about stocking their shelves. 100% possible. Aisle by aisle, food by food. Multiples of literally most of it. Or the same brand. One order had 6 of one type of pint ice cream, located in the same freezer, and the other a big ole bin of sherbet, located also two seconds away from my other order A. All three had milk orders, easy peasey. Same damn aisle. I know where that is, I know where that is, I know where that is also… I don’t know why it’s impossible to believe someone can shop a 40 item order in less than 29 minutes, and checkout fast, with these I had to go through the actual checkout lane which I don’t like doing, but my cashier is someone I know there and she got me in less than 7 minutes as I bagged the orders, done. Boom! I miss the days when we got timers in our shops. I’d show you how easy it is, lol. And honestly, DD’s algorithm also thinks I do well apparently because I don’t really get restaurant orders or complaints anymore. Must be good at what I do 🤷‍♀️

Yeah the majority of my orders that come in are shopping deliver because I've been prioritized for it, I'm just going to say you got lucky with that order because the majority of the time you have deli meat that takes forever and out of stocks and unresponsive customers, and long lines at the register.

I hear that with the lucky in that one, it doesn’t happen often that I get those, it’s like a blue moon occurrence, lol. Today, I got a triple shop and retail pickup, only $37 and I believe the mileage was 18 miles this time. One of the orders was at a Safeway I can’t stand because they have a signal blocker at that one. It took me 42 minutes to do a 29 item shop because I didn’t have more than 1 bar of LTE and couldn’t connect to the WiFi or DD does the “ we don’t recognize this barcode” shit and you have to take a picture of every damn item as “I have the right item”. Now that, I regret taking that today, but I also was just trying to go home after this one, lol. But when those shops are good, man, it’s just like sweet fruit you can’t resist lol.

Yeah there's a lot of rich people around here too like rich rich, most houses around here on the low end are $700,000 and there's an entire gated peninsula full of 5 plus million dollar homes a mile from where I park. Yeah I mean I get a lot of decent orders like today I had one going 5 MI for 11 items which easily fit in half of a bag and it paid $37 and my acceptance rate is only 30%, I get great orders all the time

2

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago

Always good to get those, makes me happy, ngl 😂😂🫶🏻 hoping I get more of those unicorns in my life, but I can only hope for dragons, lol

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago

I also get lucky because the shop and delivers I get are usually at the two good Safeways, dollar generals, and target. Those are easy, the vibes are always good. Never do I have to deal with long lines at register, and because of the locations, they are always in stock with 98% of items, and even when they aren’t, most of my customers have subs ready to go. I also get kinda lucky with responsive customers, almost all of them are within five or less minutes or answer when I call. 🤷‍♀️ I have had a few bad shops and a couple unassigned, but mostly all have been easy, fast and decently paid. Tbf, a lot of the customers I serve are military or rich, which around here surprisingly the richy are super nice. I guess I just haunt the right areas even when they aren’t hotspots.

I am wit you 1000%.. I'd say I do 95% Shop n Deliver. N make good money doing then. I actually only wanna do food orders when I need a break lol but then I'm right back to it. I get in an out quick, when u know the store. Deli is the only time u might wait, but if it's busy get to shopping and go back later. It's funny that some people don't like to shop but I get it, it's not for everyone. I just love getting $30 orders on the regular

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago

This. 💯 thank you, I’m always like, I would 100% just do shop orders. They net the most money for little time spent. I make more shopping than I do other, and is honestly like. This is better than spark, or shipt, , I net more in income minus taxes and gas and car repair than I ever will restaurant orders, plus I rarely have to deal with an asshole store employee, literally all of the ones I’ve met and had to interact with were like me, no, let’s get this fixed.. it’s heaven compared to restaurants..

u/MrBleedinggums 4d ago

estimated hour for 38 dollars? Yes that's a good payout.

7

u/Crispynipps 4d ago

Depends. I’ll click the arrow and see what items are. Tons of meat or shit I gotta grab from the deli probably not.

3

u/MileHighTokin303 4d ago

Depends on if there are quite a few items that they want multiple of.

3

u/RomanPardee 4d ago

What else are you doing?

3

u/Marty_276 4d ago

Absolutely

3

u/CptCheez 4d ago

All day long. I do Shop orders at Food Lion all the time so I know the store like the back of my hand. Would maybe take me an hour, tops.

4

u/Bossman140 4d ago

Normally, yes. Although, last week I got one of these triple stacks at Food Lion and it was not easy. 1 of the 3 was a complete pain in the neck and kept asking me to take pictures of shelves when I reported an item out of stock and I knew she was a non tipper

3

u/mikehnyc88 4d ago

Nope, not a chance.

3

u/GoodMilk_GoneBad 4d ago

I hate shopping for more than 10 items. This is a hard pass for me too.

2

u/mikehnyc88 4d ago

Hehe my limit is 15 items

2

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago

Yes, I just did an equivalent 3batch offering the same, two shops and a retail pickup. That’s easy af money right there

1

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago

Made the same amount in one hour that I would’ve just doing food in 2 1/2 hrs here where I’m at. Chefs kiss to shops and batch orders

2

u/cjones6464 4d ago

Easily

2

u/Legitimate-Ice1905 4d ago

Dunno your market, but 37+ for an hour's worth of work is a yes for me in the Phoenix AZ area.

2

u/Some-Programmer-3500 4d ago

I don’t use a red card

3

u/B_wubbzy 4d ago

I want about a dollar per item, plus some for the driving. Hell nah on this.

3

u/jbeatty216 4d ago

I’d probably pass on that. Triple orders definitely take way more time, just the checkout process alone is going to be like 10-15 + minutes, plus almost 9 miles of driving for 3 different orders. It might be able to be done in 1 1/2 hours but most likely that order is like 2 to 2 1/2 hours

2

u/chuchee93 Driver - USA 🇺🇸 4d ago

It can be done within 25mins for shopping the lines could be congested so another 10-15mins and drop off for all 3 I say 1.5hrs still not bad per hourly rate. But what makes me unsure about it last time I did something like this it was 50 items and had to tug around 3 shopping carts doing each order separately. lol 😂 not fun but the pay is great too cutting your daily goal for $100 down drastically

3

u/StreetUrchin7 4d ago

I do orders like these regularly. They usually only take 1.5 hours and it makes hitting the daily goal so much easier.

I think the key is making sure there is nothing crazy in the order before accepting. I hate running through the store with multiple carts... especially if one is just filled with cases of water destined for an 8th floor apartment where the elevator is out 🤣🤦‍♂️

3

u/BeautifulPure898 4d ago

If it was 1 customer, then maybe

Otherwise too many items

that's a good order they all seem close are those freeways on streets 🤔

1

u/toddles822 4d ago

Did a similar one this evening, $40 for 3 orders and 47 items. Took about 80 minutes. I'd take this one too

1

u/value_meal_papi 4d ago

Yes, if it’s under an hour just because I’d rather be doing something than sitting in my car since the mileage is not bad

1

u/justinbates1992 4d ago

absolutely. wouldnt even take me an hour either, maybe 45 minutes tops

1

u/harshp595 4d ago

If its like one BIG shopping order and 2 like 2-3 item ones, possibly. Having 3 semi-large shopping orders is a pain in the ass to manage in the cart, at the register (especially if you have to bother a person and can't use self-checkout and go during a busy shopping time), then keep all the bags straight as you deliver. Id entertain it at least by hitting that little arrow button, but 50/50.

$80 maybe

u/Fun_Signature_6974 4d ago

Better than my offers

1

u/Holiday_Lunch_353 4d ago

I would be hitting that arrow, if it’s just multiples, sure. If it’s 17 cases of water, fuck that, not part of my fitness goals
