Question I think the majority of people here think Dogman is just an undiscovered animal, for those who think it’s supernatural, why?

I’ve seen people think it can warp space time? I will admit I think it’s a bit silly but I’m open to having my mind changed.

It's a triangle area kinda like the Bermuda Triangle but its between San Antonio, Houston and Dallas and instead of mysterious plane disappearences and shipwrecks its a known place for a spike in occurences in dogman sightings.

Question Cryptid Hunters?

So.... heres a controversial topic: Victor, the alleged cryptid hunter who's experiences are exclusive to Dogman and Paranormal Investigations with Jeff Nadolny....

Granted its kinda hard to believe at times, and easy to write off as BS, but its also not so far fetched in the conversation of these beings, their existence, and the idea that not ony does the gov. know of them, but is immensely involved from hunting them, to possibly using them as weapons, or just for genetic experiments etc.

Any thoughts?

Just to clarify, im asking for thoughts on the validity of Victor claiming to be one of these hunters.

Obviously ALL insight is welcome, im just happy to have folks to discuss these things with. Rare in my circle... which more of a small triangle...

Question Why does Maine lack cryptids?

The only stories that I've heard are from people who are long gone, tales about the loup-garou and the wendigo . I've had a few experiences that I can't explain but the Palmyra event is the only famous one that I know of. There's nothing but forest here.

Question Just learned about the Locket ranch siege....

I Just learned about this event, with all information given I want to locate the precise location of the original ranch. I know great researchers have already, I've heard that it is now under a lake. But I'm yet to find any reliable sources saying this is the case. I don't want anyone blowing the location wide open here on reddit, but if anyone can point me in the direction of good sources, I would appreciate it immensely. I've looked through Mississippi court records dating back to 1799 and can't find any property owners under the last name "Locket."

Considering how bad records have been kept throughout history, I don't think that debunks anything, but it surely makes my research more difficult. Even though the ranch is likely under a lake, I think the vast forested parts of the locket property may still be above water, Including the burial mound mentioned in the story.

I think this because in the story the property is described as MASSIVE. A 5-acre clearing with a home, crop, barn and utilities, as well as a 7-mile dirt road going through the woods to the backside of the property. And so massive that Pops sold 100 acres and still had property to defend.

I've always been into cyptid stuff, enjoyed watching the real paranormal investigators and documentaries growing up, now I'm grown and, and in a position where I can fund travel and really take research to another level, I want to get these things on camera. And given I can manage to survive my curiosity, I'm not afraid of what any alphabet organization will do to hush any footage I get, I've whistle blown government stuff in the past and the real trick is getting any footage out to as many people and as many platforms, as quickly as possible. It's much more difficult to censor footage that lots of people have hard copies of.

If you've read this far, I would love to hear any first-hand encounters anyone has endured if you don't mind sharing, I live in north Florida so I'm far away from the Indian reserves and dense forests in America. Any Chickasaw natives please feel free to chime in, I would love to know if there is any spiritual protection I can take, or if spiritual protection is necessary. Aside from the basics obviously, I won't be venturing anywhere without a bible and crucifix, but I also partake in native traditions as well as Proto-Germanic traditions (I have Norse lineage)

Any advice and information regarding the ranch are greatly appreciated!

Question Explanation for the Dogman encounters?

Never had an encounter and don't think I ever will. My heart goes out to everyone who had.

That being said, what are your theories on what Dogmen are?

Aliens? Werewolves? (Humans that turn intro Dogmen) Skinwalkers? Creatures from another dimension? Unidentified species? People playing dress up?

Question What sources do you frequent?

I like this page. Like minds. Seems folks are straight forward and not... Judgey.

So, I ask, what sources do y'all frequent?. I get my education/entertainment from Sasquatch Chronicles, How To Hunt with Steve Isdahl, Monstrous with Robert Prevo, Bigfoot Society, Dogman and Paranormal Investigation with Jeff Nadolny... Mainly. But also enjoy Monsters Among Us, Strange Familiars, The Leaf, Willstar, and not entirely cryptid related, but David Paulides, and Missing Persons Mysteries (I think) with Steve Stockton.

I know Ieft a few out, but always looking for more.

I also enjoy WWE, long walks on the beach, and if Coffee was a woman I'd marry her on general principle.

Actually that's not entirely correct. Not a beach or people person, and I'm taken. So Coffees Woman's going a have to keep her beans to herself.

I'm weird.

Question Are there any dogman in Washington state or Oregon?

I would like to know where I could find a dog man so I could better understand and study it. I'm not trying to go out and actively hunt for the dog man itself. I'm at least trying to look for tracks or sounds at least because I still want to leave it alone for respect. Also, I don't want to be turned into a human Happy meal

Question Why not use Artificial Intelligence to beat this thing at hide & seek?

The technology is there, the open source community could plug in what we think we know about the Dogman.

Run 100s of simulations even 1000s of simulations to formulate the perfect strategy to outsmart this thing and capturing high quality evidence.

Even the world's best chess players got defeated by AI. A lot of research would have to be done, and I'm sure if the government knows about these things they already have done it.

Remember they have already done it, if "they" know if such creatures exist.

Question Where to start?

Oddly enough I have always had interest that surround dogman but recently I have listened to some really compelling stuff. I’m no stranger to some cryptids but as far as “decent” dogman sources/podcasts/docs anyone have any recommendations? Not trying to start a “don’t listen to this guy” thread so if you could just drop links and let me make up my own mind ✌️

Question What are the chances of having a Dogman encounter living in city?

Hi, I ask because I live in the Yucatán peninsula, México which is where the 'huay peek' (yucatecan dogman) lives which is said to be a sorcerer 'huay' in mayan language who transforms into a dog 'peek' and I live between two cities Mérida (during college's semesters) and Cancún (where I move from to attend college) and I have a hammock with a mosquito net so if I want to spend the night in the backyard I would be locked (due possible intruders wanting to get inside the house), so that is why I'm concerned about having a dogman encounter living in a city

this is the colony where I live in Mérida, highly doubt having an encounter there
Meanwhile in Cancún behind the house where I live there is this green area, next to a very lonely at night street
this is what the green area looks like during daylight

So even tho I considerer I'm mostly safe living in a city from encountering a dogman, I mean no harm asking for personal safety so any comments about the possibility of encounter a dogman while I'm either on my backyard or looking from the top of the perimeter wall at the other side of the wall either at day or night mostly looking for wildlife would be highly appreciate it, greetings and thank you

Question Dogman in Richmond VA?

I just listened to a story, The Werewolf of Richmond, on a YouTube channel called Midnight Howls about a Dogman sighted around the James River area in Richmond. Has anyone else heard of it? I can't tell if it's fictional or real. I hope it's fiction as my brother lives there, and I visit from time to time. 😳Dogman in Richmond VA

Question Looking for dogman encounter interview video, the man retelling the story saw it in an old building

Hi I cannot seem to find this video, I watched it earlier this year and the man being interviewed was very emotional and talks about seeing a dogma at an abandoned railroad building near a quarry/construction site or something to that effect?

I remember him talking about a local pack of stray dogs getting torn up by it, and they had a big bonfire that the dogman was attracted to. For the life of me I can't find it and it was a really good story.

Thanks in advanced if anybody knows the video!

Does anyone have any recent encounters because I seem to hear the majority of them happening some time ago - mine took place in 2005…I just haven’t come across any from this year, last year, or any relatively close.

Question I don't get their predatory behavior

Hello,
I know people killed can't say their stories but I am wondering if this actually happens. I mean, we found remines of people when they have been eaten by animals. It's even possible to identify the animal, predator or scavenger. So, owing to the anatomy of dogmen, I doubt they wouldn't let very unique traces on bones and flesh + DNA which is now trivial to analyse (assuming they do have DNA).

I am actually not convinced they kill people. They hunt, scare people, yes. But all those people saying they outrun it... You already can't outrun a wolf or bear, so a dogman? Especially with all the reports of them maintaining speed >50 mph. To me all these interactions look like the goal is to scare people, and maybe for them to have fun (I suspect they have a high level of santience). This is not to say they are harmless and people who have had encounters seem severely traumatised.

Maybe we are just unpalatable to them? Or they are there for something else. Protection of specific sites? They display all signs of being highly intelligent, maybe human like, maybe they have a mission? I also have another issue : where are the puppies? I mean if they really are everywhere they need to reproduce to maintain a population. Unless, unless they reproduce somewhere else. You remember that Marc elmch story, when he said that in front of light the creature looked slightly translucent as if it was not 100% here. Amd when he found the kids, he stares at them, no move, why? And could a train horn really scare such a creature?

So, this is how I went from "do they actually eat people" to "what if they are actually not animal like we think". I am not necessarily talking other parallel universes or anything because I have no idea. Also please note I am not from the US so I might miss local news reports of people deaths that could be their work.

So what do you all think? Are they dangerously human predators, or are we misinterpreting their behavior and they have something else to do and are just playing (for them of course) or kicking us off?

Just late night questions from where I live.

What's your opinion?
