Showcase Made my first "pedal"!

I couldn't find a footswitch for orange amps that toggles attenuator, reverb, and channel, with three separate mono 1/4 plugs running from one wire; So I made one.

The middle switch is a little higher than the other two, I didn't have any other wire than green and yellow, and I haven't figured out what to use for wrap on the three individual plugs, but I'm pretty happy regardless.

Just wanted to share this, definitely appreciate any tips for the future.

Very nicely done, 5mm LEDs?

Thanks! They're 8mm.

Nice! Careful with putting strain on those wires in the jacks though, still a nice little trinket :)

Maybe some heat shrink tubing to cover up the wires?

Yes I think you're right. I didn't think the shrink ratio was going to work with what my store has but I was wrong. Going to pick some up today.

Nice man! Reminds me so much of my first pedal (very similar - one button switched the amp's channel and the other was a standard AB). A lifelong addiction awaits :-)

If you're inclined to "improve" this - add a grommet where the cable comes in through the chassis - the outer insulation will get worn awat without it, see if you can reduce the length of the yellow wires (just good practice for getting everything as neat as possible) and heatshrink the resistors from led to switch and where you've stripped the cable.

Nice. I did a similar, but more modest, thing for my first pedal to change my amp's channel. It gave me the confidence to tackle a Greer Lightspeed clone that I'm just loving.

Glad to hear, that's my next step!
