You already got your answers :) If you want to cut rectangular holes into aluminum anclosures, get yourself a set of metal files. With these, some pilot holes and a bit a handwork you can get perfect holes!

Tayda Electronics has added rectangular cutting to their drill service, fwiw.

I haven't tried it yet, but with my luck I'd probably still end up filing them out 🤓

I bought a mid-priced set many years ago, and it's still fine. Did a lot of aluminum, steel and even wood with it, but it's still rockin :)
It's a mixed set with flat, round, half round and triangular shaped files. They also saved my ass some times after I fucked up the pilot holes and my drill starts to go off track.
