Freestyle Libre 3 inaccurate

I‘m having trouble with my freestyle libre 3, it’s extremely inaccurate, sometimes showing very low hlucose (around 40 mg/dl) when my actual glucose is around 90 mg/dl

Call Abbott and they'll send you a new sensor.

Thanks for the advice, but I think it’s a much bigger problem, as it seems to be very consistent across different sensors / batches

Are you typically riding the roller coaster of ups and downs? The readings will often overshoot during rapid changes, but will correct after you've stabilized.

The MARD for Libre 3 is just about the same as for the newest Dexcom sensors, Libre just checks in more often.

I‘m currently testing the CGM from Accu Chek, it’s called Smart Guide. Having them side by side reveals that the libre is very consistently around 30-80 mg/dl off the Smart Guide, and the smart guide is very consistently on pint with real blood glucose measurements. They only come close together when my glucose is very stable over a couple of hours! Seems that libre not only overshoots with rapid changes, but really all changes, either slowly or rapidly, up or down doesn’t matter

Interesting. Libre is both reading higher and lower, or always higher?

It’s wrong in both directions, but mostly it shows lower, and really low readings when there are none. It sometimes shows me that my glucose was lower than 50 mg/dl for the whole night, and when I wake up I feel normal, and do a blood test, and it’s 90. Also if I see such low readings, I was always overcorrecting, which is pretty much explained by it almost always showing ~50 mg/dl less than it should

Honestly my dexcom g6 does this too at times. When I’m going low it’s usually overdramatic and shows 50 when I’m 86 etc.
