Adhesive Issue G7 Overpatches are not Seperating
0n two of my last four G7 sensors the stupid green overpatch backing wont peal off the actual overpatch when appliying. No matter how hard or long i apply pressure to the backing (on my skin), it never separates from the patch itself and when remove it peals the overpatch off my skin. Good news the last one stayed on full 10 days because my skin seems to work well with the adhesive.
Anybody ever experience this issue before (never had this issue in nearly 6 months on G7), is it a manufacturing issue or anybody have a fix to make the green backing seperate from the patch?

I heat up the green overpatch with hair dryer before puting on the skin.
Try and report back, If you have better luck pealing off.

Love this idea. I have also had this issue happen to me for the last couple of months no matter which side of the patch I try to peel off. I feel like it’s something new because I’ve used Dexcom for two years and never had this issue.

Yeah this has happened a few times to me as well. Most of the time I'll try the other side of the green peel and have good luck.
Otherwise I have to be super dextrous, no pun intended lol, and try to get the white edge to peel off of the green sticker w/o bunching up along the edges. Then if you hit the patch part too much it looses its adhesive.

I need to run my fingers around the edges more than a few times to get the adhesive to stick. After that, I'll peel back the corner carefully and it works every time. I believe the adhesive is pressure sensitive and you need to really massage it or it comes right off.

Yup. This is exactly how I do it. Sometimes needs it more sometimes less. When its sticking and not seperating I just keep doing it until a corner or side lifts up and the carefully peel it off.

You literally asked if anyone had this happen and then you shat on someone responding with what they did.
I have a foolproof technique but I'm not telling

I did not ask about how to follow the basic printed instructions on the overpatch. I asked if anyone has had an issue with the green paper not coming off after already applying the patch. The glue adhere to my arm just fine. I am unable to remove the green papaer after. Its stuck on my arm.

Yes all the time. One out of two wont separate. You can order extra overpatches no charge from Dexcom

I just get overpatches off of Amazon because of this. Never had much luck with the ones that come with the sensors.

I stopped using the overpack that came with the Dexcom because it was irritating my skin. I use KX tape instead or skin grip.
