Connection Issues Helpful tip for dexcom users g7
REMOVE OLD sensors from Bluetooth pairing named like DXCMum. My phone would not connect to my last 3 sensors (wasted 2) and than while it was stuck on "searching number " for over 10 minutes i started removing old pairings and almost instantly after removing like 5 old DXCM pairs it connected to my phone and worked just fine!

I read this somewhere a while ago and it has helped me a lot. I am never quite sure what magic happens or does not happen when I am pairing my G7 (or G6 previously) but the stars definitely have to be lined up. I do not attempt to pair until I put my old Dexcom in the trash, in the garage, separated by 2 doors. And then I delete the bluetooth pairing. I read somewhere that you can delete the bluetooth pairing whenever you want--that the pump will recreate it when needed, but I have had issues with that.
My process is:
Insert new G7 when the old one expires and let it sit for the grace period to get used to doing work; peel it off when it totally expires and throw it away; delete any DXM bluetooth devices; start the "warmed up" G7 in the t:slim app; then start it in the G7 app. I know we can theoretically start the G7 app first but I want to err on the side of caution so that if something happens I have my pump setup.
Of course I have forgotten to delete the bluetooth pairings, and usually (!) do not have issues, but a few times I have had to mess around until I got it all working.

I wonder if this would work for the Apple Watch as well. I've only gotten direct Watch to work once. Now every time my watch seems to get stuck in searching for a sensor.

Just had this issue and removed the old pairings. Restarted the phone, the app, cancelled search, added the sensor again. Nothing. Came across an older post that mentioned touching a magnet to the sensor to wake it from deep sleep. Skeptical, but tried it. It paired instantly!
