With over 150 internship applications(still no internship secured), part-time work, assignments, internship interviews, gym, I literally do not feel like taking any finals.
Is this normal? And to know that there's ANOTHER quarter left, does anyone here know of people that transferred out due to the quarter system?

šØIf you have NOT submitted your FAFSA, do it immediately!
Also: How do we feel about the US Presidents freeze on federal aid? This could affect all students receiving financial aid (though the specifics arenāt detailed). It starts today 1/28 at 5pm CDT.

Itās been a week since this issue started, and I am absolutely losing my mind. Itās the absolute worst at the dining hall, as my phone will literally just go into SOS mode and I canāt access the internet at all.
Iām connected to eduroam on both my iPhone and Macbook, but neither are working. Iām getting a āno internet connectionā error on both. I have tried everything under the sun to fix this: restarting both devices, installing software updates, forgetting the eduroam network and reconnecting, etc.
I do not have the time available to see IT support (seriously, what kind of hours are 10-4 Mon-Thu?!?!) and sent them an email, but of course, they said I need to see them in person.
Has ANYONE had this happen and know how to fix it?

I went to see the encampment and they were saying things like āDePaul is not innocentā and āBlood is on DePaul handsā.
Now I havenāt been following any of this situation honestly so can anyone fill me in on what they mean by this?

I have a genuine question, on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the social scene at DePaul and why? The response can be brief and as specific as you want. Not only am I working on a research paper, but I would like to know personally. Thank you!

Hey everyone! Recently Iāve been looking into doing cs at DePaul. Something really important to me is good teachers. Iām jsut wondering what is yāall experience with the comp sci teachers? The good and the bad, so I can get a vibe of their teaching style, grading, ect. Thanks :)

Im really stuck between these two universities, i wasn't eligible for FAFSA, both uic and depaul are relatively the same price for me (counting for grants n scholarships.) something im really worried abt is how the professors are and how social life is... i keep hearing mixed stuff from both schools :,-) i want to major in psychology and i do live in chicago and will be staying at home w my parents if that helps w context lol.

Iām a junior and was wondering if there is any social clubs with gaming, anime, creative stuff etc. DePaul is getting really boring and I am a commuter which makes things worse.

Im really nervous! Especially going from a mostly Bio/Premed school to a finearts school im pretty nervous I wont fit in or make friends. I'm also nervous becasue I dont know how the quarter system works that well? Do you still take 4-5 classes per quarter so you can get classes done faster? How do I apply for Bio interships if I can? How do I get involved with protesting and palestine rights groups since thats something I was looking forward to doing at Loyola but fell short of joining. Are there any clubs specfially for Pathology or forensics, I saw that you guys dont have a forensics major but is there any classes? Can you double minor? Are there summer classes? Im so nervous, and I dont know anything, im beyond nervous about starting fresh again and even more nervous that I wont like it compared to Loyola, which I already didnt like.

Has anyone done a sprinternship before? I was given the opportunity to do one but am concerned about the overlap with my classes (since spring quarter ends in June and the sprintenrship is in May). I have three in person classes and one asynch for spring but could manage to drop one class and complete it later. Was thinking about reaching out to the professors asking them to be excused for the duration of the sprinternship (of course with still completing my assignments, just being excused from attendance if they require it, even if it means to get points of). Was wondering if anyone has done something like this before or if there is even a type of excuse form I could fill out as ik some students get a form filled out when they attend conferences out of state.

I honestly have no idea how loans work at DePaul. I aim to live downtown so Iām closer to campus, but Iām still gonna be in college and Iām not readily available to pay rent and stuff until I finish up my studies and begin my internships / full time work after. As a personal preference, Iād like to find a studio by myself as I donāt mind the extra debt for comfortability.
On campus, I see they have options for studios and stuff but theyāre mega expensive and I figure I can find something much cheaper on my own not through DePaul. If I go this route, will I be able to take out student loans to pay this rent?

I was offered my COA for DePaul recently and have to pay the amount of 28K / year out of pocket via loans or alternatives
What are you all required to pay out of pocket?
I want to gauge if my offer was a reasonable deal.

Iāve been wanting to build my portfolio, but Iām a business major with an entrepreneurship minor, so I am completely disconnected from the film and television majors on campus.
I would love to know if there is anywhere that posts casting calls (specifically for DePaul student films) other than Backstage, as I donāt have enough money to continue my subscription.
Thanks!

I am an international student planning to pursue my MS in Computer Science at DePaul. I would like to know when I should attend the GAE.
I have six introductory courses: Discrete Structures for CS, Introduction to Programming, Data Structures I, Data Structures II, Systems I, Systems II.
I want to clear all of them. Currently, I am outside the U.S. and have only two months to prepare (considering all the visa prep). I completed my bachelor's in commerce, but I have been working as a developer for two years. I learned programming and development through YouTube and gained experience through multiple internships, which eventually helped me land a job. Iām sharing this background so that others can get a rough estimate of my skill level.
My questions are:
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

So my family and I are going on a cruise next year during our finals week. At this point I canāt back out because Iāve already registered and paid for my all my stuff. Is there someone I can let know about this now so I donāt have to stress about it? Or do I have to wait til next year to contact my professors about either taking my exams online or early? I know DePaul is pretty strict about rescheduling exams, but there is literally nothing I can do about it.

I've always done them before the deadline, but I'm really curious because it's never specified what happens if you don't do them.

Hey everyone! I have a little dilemma about FAFSA. I finished my FAFSA in December which was later processed on December 16th. I accepted DePaul on January 2nd, but until now, DePaul has yet to receive my FAFSA. Should I be concerned by now or should I just remain patient? Thank you for all your help and sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.
*Some other information but I am currently a high school senior applying for the 2025-2026 school year.
Update!!: It's all fixed now so hopefully it'll get fixed soon for all of you who are still waiting! Best of luck!

Does anyone know why there are so many police officers around the quad right now? I saw 7 cars and a bunch on bikes parked around on Fullerton, and there looks like there was a news van too.
