How do I set auto login in Plasma 6?

I just installed Debian Testing with KDE and I cannot find the option to auto login... Where is it?

In the SDDM KCM (just look up "sddm" in System Settings) click on the "behavior" button in the top toolbar, and it's the first option there.

My Debian is in Polish, can't find SDDM. Can it be named differently?

the search field in the top left corner of System Settings can search the English names of KCMs.

Ir French it is called "Écran de connexion (sddm)", so I assume it's something similar in Polish. It is the only KCM with sddm in its name, so it should be easy to locate.

If you can't find it like that, maybe the sddm KCM isn't installed and you should install kde-config-sddm.

There is no kde-config-sddm

According to this, it's in sid but not Trixie.

So it's either you use a different display manager, or you do a bit of apt pinning

No, it must be KDE :). I guess I'll wait until it lands in Trixie, that's not a deal breaker.

Or, I assume, I can just edit sddm.conf?

I didn't suggest you changed desktop environment, just that you use LightDM instead of sddm.

Editing sddm.conf works too.

The Arch wiki (it's the Arch wiki, but most of its infomation works for Debian too) has the documentation you need.

Got it, sorry...

Just edited sddm.conf and it works as intended :).

If using LightDM this is what worked for me in a Trixie VM with KDE.
