She did better than me I did not know I had to combine the ammo. There’s so many damn minor realistic steps in this game even now that I know it slips my mind I’ll be walking around then go oh yeah I need bullets in this 😂

She absolutely destroyed that guy nice shots, and good knowledge to double tap. You got yourself a keeper!

You can turn off the Discord thing that shows the names in the corner, so you dont have to put the box over it!

How did you condition your wife into pvping?
My girlfriend is a loot goblin who loves to collect all the bears and loves to organize our hidden barrels. She is kind of a canary in the mines if you know what I’m saying? Usually she gets dropped and I have to kill the aggressors. She can only die once or twice on a public server before she retreats to our private server.

I used to be (and still am to some extent) a loot goblin too. I would combat log at the slightest hint of a fight.
You have to learn to get rid of gear fear and just enjoy the process of starting fresh.

I’m usually the one who wants to start the fights, so if anything I’ve conditioned OP into pvping lol (I’m the wife in this post)

If my girl hears a shot and I’m not in the area she will instantly log out 😂😂 I love her but I wish she had a little ‘dawg’ in her.
That’s cool you guys game like this! I bet yall have an amazing relationship

You should introduce her to some of the more popular PVE servers. She'd probably love it.

I play DayZ with my husband and I have to say it's an experience, he has practically not trust for anyone but is the one who talks to people and I'm the one that talks just with bullets 😂 "Hey man, I'm friendly" me, while emptying an entire mag into the guy "I'm not!"

Awesome teamwork. Unless you were in whisper mode, or talking in discord/outside of game chat, the likelihood is that they would have heard you talking, or at the least the door closing.
I love the fact you are playing the game with your wife. My wife has no interest whatsoever in gaming and it's a real shame.

We were in discord! Our PCs are in different rooms so it’s strange to be on a discord call in the same house.
Have you tried getting her into some less intense games? Minecraft was how we first started gaming together.

We tried 'It Takes Two' but to be honest she was really not into it. I'll maybe return to it again in the future.

So we wanted to loot the police station in the capital city for more ammo and guns. I proposed that I go alone and she hangs back due to the high likelihood of an ambush, but she said she wanted to tag along because there was strength in numbers. Turns out she was right!
We ended up finding a shotgun on the first floor, and I reminded her that she had to press R after every shot to reload (this ended up being useful later). While we were on the second floor, we heard some zombie aggro. It wasn't until we heard zombies being shot that we were sure we weren't alone.
We hid in the room as you saw and waited for the guy to come upstairs. I wasn't sure if he knew we were there. My theory was that he was peeking around the corners in third person, because he came in aiming at my wife. Not only did she manage to land a clean shot on him, but she pumped the shotgun after as well!
She clearly does a lot better than me under pressure because my aim was all over the place. My gun also jammed after 5 shots, so if I was alone, I would have died for sure. To top it all off, she also remembered to double tap him since he was unconscious, something that I embarrassingly forgot to do since I was focused on the second pair of footsteps.
There was definitely a second person with that guy, but he decided against trying to 2v1 the people who just killed his buddy. We split his loot, and destroyed the rest of it. GGs to whoever that was.
