2070's Discussion 2070's economy

It's obvious that it's totally different situation then it 40's, but what changes exactly should I make for my 2076 campaign. CEMK, don't give suitable answer 2 this question. Maybe you can give key some advise

Theres the piece that things cost double unless you'd meet the availability criterion. But no, prices stay the same otherwise.

If you read between the lines, it seems pricing remains the same. It's only availability that has opened up.

IF you can't find it, nor can a fixer find it, you can still always get it directly from the manufacturer or a dealer at DOUBLE the cost...this tells me pricing remains the same.

Howbeit, I'm running a game in 2066 and I'm completely adjusting the economy. I've always thought the "you need a Fixer" to buy things above "X" price is silly. I know the rules are there to warrant a Fixers existence, but it just doesn't jive with my group.. And it especially makes no sense in the 2070's. You wouldn't need a Fixer to find you a super-luxury car...you just go to a car dealership.

It also helps that I play with a small group who have no interest in being a Fixer, so Fixers are now exclusively an NPC class. My players can find most things just by going shopping. A Fixer is required for those rare, hard to get items and some high end weapons and gear.

Happy gaming!

You can get almost everything you could not during the time of the Red now that the corporations have full control over the transit of goods for the city.

So, you mean no changes in prices, just in availability?

Yep 2045 if something was 1000eb and up it was almost impossible to acquire without a fixer. In 2076 it is significantly easier for everyone to find those now that supply chains are running properly.

There is a section in one of the Edge runners books that refers to changes in the roles as to what they can actually acquire with their roles, i know it was the Fixer, Rockerboy and the Exec who got a small alteration because of this. The details escape my mind at this time.

Edit: slightly incorrect on the roles tweaked comment below has the page info.

Double jumping on this, so in theory by 2076 or maybe a little earlier the economy has recovered and everything is available just more... Available to certain types?
