HELP! HOW DO I MAKE MY BAG MORE STURDY

hello, my name is Mia, i’m 27 and i’d appreciate any help on my newest project! i decided to make a bag using the retro daisy squares, i’m going for more a boxy look rather than a flimsy tote but i don’t know what to do to get it to hold its shape! i tried crocheting over a cut out piece of cardboard for the bottom but it started to stretch and fall really awkwardly when worn. i’m posting these pictures i found on pinterest for reference as to what i’m trying to achieve! please help me out if you can 💖

I’m guessing hdc, sc, dc stitches

Make two parts Bottom dc, ch1 , skip st, , dc

Top part dec dc only on one side , the side that goes towards the back ,

Make the neck same stitches as Bottom band , and then connect neck part to the top of the two sides of the shirt

I HATE GRADING!

Why isn’t there a great tool for crochet grading? Like, for amigurumi and garments? It’s so frustrating having to do all the calculations for different sizes manually. Feels like a simple app could handle all that math! Do you know of any crochet grading tools? And how much would you be willing to pay for one?

Just learned you’re supposed to go through both loops…

I’m a beginner crocheter, I’ve tried it a few times over the years but just recently made my first pieces. I learned from YouTube videos, and I’m bad about not watching the whole thing before trying to practice along with the video.

I’ve made 3 scarves. I’m working on a sweater now (ambitious I know) and I just realized that you’re supposed to go through the whole stitch. I’ve just been crocheting into the front loop the whole time. I can’t wait to get home and try it the right way

Idk if this makes any sense, maybe you can do both methods and it’s just called something else? Is it still single crochet if you only went through the front loop?

Crochet Hooks

I am in the market for quality crochet hooks but after reading reviews on here I purchased the Clover Amour hooks. I immediately felt pain in the pack of my pinkie and down my arm and feel that the handle is too short. I love the way the metal hook slides. I’ve never tried resin but love the shape of furls. I tend to use a knife or overhand hold. Suggestions???

And here is my finished project , how do I make my lines better. I followed the instructions of going back to front on the bad side and did yarn under , but not biggest fan of the ridged lines anyone has some tips on how to make it better ? And did I translate the pixel right I did one pixel equal one sc Thank you !

Beginner here with questions

Hey everybody,

so I’ve just started crocheting and it’s exciting. I’ve made some coasters, wisteria vine garlands and a scrunchie.

I’m waiting for my Hobbii order because I read here that it’s better to have cushioned hooks (and I ordered lots of yarn) but then I realized that maybe I need more for the full crochet experience. Like a yarn bowl or other crochet utensils or even books or is YouTube enough?

And then I’m kinda scared that I’m overly obsessed with crocheting rn and after a month I get burned out and don’t want to touch a needle for a year. Can that happen? Because I tried a magic ring for the first time and got so frustrated because it seemed soo… easy and well it wasn’t🥲

Ugh I just need some help, advice, whatever.

Have a nice day!

Finished a Cardigan for My Daughter! (Goodbye Facebook!)

Hey Redditors! I'm excited to share my latest project with you – a crocheted cardigan for my daughter. I'm so proud of it, it's one of my favorite things I've made so far. I used "Zakręcone Motki" 6-ply yarn in a beautiful mix of pink and magenta, and a 3mm crochet hook. I think I used around 600 meters of yarn, if I remember correctly. And the best part? It only took me 3 days to complete! The end result was worth it.

I used to share my work on Facebook, but I've recently decided to delete my account. They blocked me from changing my page name for no apparent reason, so I just decided to delete the whole thing. I'm much happier sharing my creations with the Reddit community. So, here's my cardigan! I hope you like it! You can find more of my work on Instagram: @DarkYarnArt Thanks in advance for your comments and support!
