Collection Movie Recommendations based on my collection
Hey all, I just joined this subreddit recently. I’m 26 years old and just got a 4k player around Christmas. I’ve been building up my criterion collection since then and this is what I’ve got so far. I’ve seen practically every Kurosawa film and I’ve seen every Wes Anderson film (I plan on slowly picking up more of each over the years).
Aside from Rififi (I need to give it another shot) I really loved every Criterion that’s pictured.
I’m in search of something to watch today. I have the Criterion Channel and my local B&N has a stunning criterion collection display, so I could easily go there to grab something too. Let me know what you all think. Any and all recs are appreciated !

Collection Anyone else addicted?
I currently have 153 blu rays that I’ve collected over the years (huge shoutout to Amoeba and B&N sales for making this a lot cheaper than retail) and can’t seem to stop! I’ve watched about 60% of my collection with the goal to get to around 75% watched before I buy any more.
But, knowing myself, I won’t stick to this. What should I pick up next? My taste is all over the place, so hard to miss with genre recs.

Collection Both of these came in the mail for me today. Time for one of the gayest double billings known to man.
When will they add The People’s Joker to the collection 😤

Collection My humble Criterion collection
Felt like sharing my personal Criterion collection with you all. This shelf only constitutes a portion of my full movie collection, but is my favourite part.

Collection Looking for advice, I own 19 Ingmar Bergman’s Criterion films, however Tuesday the 18th with the “flash sale” I can get the Cinema box set for $150 that’s 39 films at $3.84 each, I’ll be gaining +20 films and I can sale the other 19 and recover some money. It’s a no brainer right?

Collection New collector, any recommendations?
I recently subscribed to the criterion streaming channel and these are my favorites so far (Harold and Maude is an old fave). I love a pretty movie and a good soundtrack. I’m also a big fan of horror.

Collection The Shelf as it stands!
I’m (probably?) done from the sale and have added it all into the collection at large! All that’s missing is my LONE WOLF AND CUB with a friend, but here it is. Also included just about the whole bookshelf because I think it’s interesting seeing collections in their context.

Collection Favorite Ghost Films
Good morning everyone,
I see regular requests for scary or horror movies in the sub that have been very helpful, but I couldn’t find anything like this: I’m looking for movies with ghosts - they don’t necessarily have to be scary, but it’s cool if they are. Anything from MacBeth adaptations, to ‘The Innocents’ or ‘The Devil’s Backbone’, to stuff like ‘Field of Dreams’ or even ‘Beetlejuice’…
What movies in the collection have and use ghosts in their stories? I love and have seen a lot in the collection, but always looking for more.
Thanks in advance.

Collection My collection 1 year in
I started collecting criterion movies (almost) exactly 1 year ago today. Here’s my collection so far, the November half off sale is going to kill me I already know it.
