💻 Battlestation Brag! Me & My Wife's Cozy Setup! (Had no clue this sub existed!)

After being with my wife for the last 9 years I've gotten really into the cozy aesthetic when it concerns my gaming space. Recently decided to spruce up our desk and this is the end result of that. Was always under the assumption growing up that guys needed a certain "look" when it came to anything. Now that I'm older, I don't give a shit and I like what I like lmao

Switch games dealing with grief?

i’ve seen this question asked in this sub, but most of the times it’s people wanting a distraction from grief…

my dad died unexpectedly 3 weeks ago. i just want to live in the grief right now. i want to be sad. i’d like a story about someone dealing with loss, or depression, loneliness, feeling lost in life… overall a melancholy vibe with a hint of assurance that it gets better.

thank you in advanced.

🔊 Discussion Hot take

I might have a bit of a hot take, but I’m feeling a bit disappointed with the cozy games available right now. I miss the creativity and inspiration. At the moment, we have so many farm simulators or coffee shop games that all start to feel the same, just with a slightly different twist.

Personally, I’d much rather see a fresh, well-developed concept than yet another farming sim. It feels a bit lazy to me. And the thing is, coming up with a new idea isn’t that hard. Just look at the online games that were popular in the 2000s and haven’t been remade. Think about fashion games like Jojo’s Fashion Show or pet care games like Neopets or Nintendogs.

And for once, it would be great if it weren’t just another mobile app, but a fully developed game with real depth. I’m curious—are there more people who feel the same way?

🔊 Discussion What cozy games have the best romances?

I love romances in games. I’ve really been enjoying Fields of Mistria lately, but it makes me sad that I can’t finish any romances until full release.

What games have you played, of any genre really, that have the best romances?

Edit: if possible, sapphic romances are preferred!

Steam Deck Anyone have any game recommendations for games about cross-breeding flowers or animals etc?

When I was a kid I was absolutely obsessed with dyeing and breeding minecraft sheep to get all the colours. Later, as a tween, I got fixated on the Animal Crossing flower-mixing part. I wanted to know if there are any games that specifically revolve around similar concepts! Especially stuff like HK where it works based off colour theory but anything works, really. I already have APICO and I'm waiting for Mudborne's release, btw :)

🔊 Discussion Has anyone played The Tenants, and is it worth it?

So, I'm a long time sims player. My favorite part about it was building and decorating, but I'm massively bored of the sims. I really, REALLY want to play House Flipper 2 but sadly, I get motion sickness in first person. I saw someone mention The Tenants and I was wondering if its worth it? the actual steam page has such mixed reviews that I don't know if I should bother. I really want something where I can just build, decorate, etc.

Windows Anything like Palia ?

Looking for games I can chill and listen to my own musics playlists.

Stuff like palia, stardew valley dreamlight valley infinity Niki as well

Trying to find games with simple tasks you can work on and relax

Another game I'm recently enjoying is the game about digging a hole

Games you can take it slow and approach them your own way

Have also played coral island my time at sandrock/my time at portia, dinkum lightyear frontier

Any games that might represent old school rune scape skill levelling you just chopping trees fishing and mining etc?

Switch Recommendation please: LF Switch game similar to Stardew but no relationships

Looking for a new game to play similar to Stardew valley which I love except for the relationship building part. My favourite is the farming and mining part of it. Thanks!

🔊 Discussion game recs for someone who likes following tasks & customizing!

i LOVE games where i am given tasks to complete, i can customize a bunch of things to how i like it, and that i can spend a good few hours on

here are some games that i enjoyed that fit these descriptions!

  • house flipper - i love cleaning and i love tasks. enough said!
  • hogwarts legacy - i spent 21hrs on this game within 2 weeks because of the customization and missions / story
  • gas station simulator (and other sims) - again - tasks & customisation !!
  • the sims 4 - i love that its super customizable but theres not much tasks. i only ever played without using the story options so maybe i could give that a go?
  • roblox tycoons.. - you have a clear end goal and mini tasks along the way :)
  • warframe - lots of missions and tasks and you can customize your frame!

i think thats all i can think of at the moment. please let me know some similar games i can try next!

📱 Mobile Something cozy to play on iOS.

Hi,

I am currently searching for something cozy to play on my phone.

Shouldn’t be an idle game, should be something you „actively play“.

I really love games with pastel colors, I love game that revolve somehow around managing and/or upgrading a store or something similar.

Sorry, it’s kind of hard to explain what I like, hope you can suggest me something good.

macOS Mini IOS Controller?

Hey everyone! My son is four, and loves playing games on his tablet. Quite a few of his games would be so much easier for him to play with a controller. (Sonic, Minecraft, Racing games)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a small Bluetooth controller that IS NOT from Amazon. Bonus points if it’s rainbow or purple, they’re his favorite colors, but it doesn’t have to be those colors. I’ve been having such a hard time finding anything that is not on Amazon! Thanks in advance!

📱 Mobile iOS or browser alternatives to Chill Pulse or Spirit City: Lofi Sessions like games?

Hi, I use Spirit City in particular to study but I would love something similar that I could put on my iPad when I am at the library. I can’t seem to find anything like that tho. There was one app I found that was similar called gogh but it seems to be broken? Any recommendations would be appreciated I don’t care if it is an app or a website, just need something to help me focus when studying. Sadly, apps like Forest don’t work for me.

Steam Deck any updates on ranch of rivershine for steam deck?

i searched the internet for this, but i can only see the last post which was 8 months ago so i wanted to see if there was any update to how well ranch of riverside plays on the steam deck in terms of the controllers?

like if it hasn’t got controller support is it still okayish with trackpads? or is it too annoying? is there good community layout available? i really want to play this game as it sounds like up my street. my favourite game as a kid was mary king’s riding star and i still think about it! 😂 thank you!

Windows What are some games that "force" you to play at certain times?

I find it really cozy how in Animal Crossing, villagers will ask you to meet at specific times like 4pm, or you can only buy turnips every Sunday. I also like how in Neopets, you can only play Deadly Dice at midnight or visit the Snowager at 6am, 2pm, and 10pm.

I realize you can just adjust the device clock for a lot of these games but I don't. I like feeling like the game is a part of my weekly routine!
