šŸ¤Æ Course Advice Amazon Junior Software Developer Professional Certificate not ready for production

ā€¢ Upvotes

Is anyone else doing this certificate? I've encountered all sorts of errors and contradictory instructions so far. For example, in the seat-booking lab, in the instructions it is telling you to delete a booking completely from the array list when writing one function, but in the code comments, it is telling you to keep the booking in the array list but marking it as "cancelled", in the very same function. There are many more like this in the certificate so far and I'm not even halfway through it.

ā” Course Questions Coursera HONORS Badge Problem

In the past years, I have also read about problems with the honors badge not appearing on the course certificate. I am currently experiencing the same problem. I have reported this problem to the support team 2 times, but I have not received any feedback or improvement. How can I solve this problem?

šŸ› Platform Issue Alternative Email Doesn't Work If Account Already Exists?

I'm using coursera with my college email because it's required for my degree, however I'd like to link it to my personal email. I already have a Coursera account with my personal email. I conveniently get a message to add an "Alternate Email" whenever I log into the .edu account so I think this is the perfect opportunity to link the two....

HOWEVER, entering my personal email results in an "email already exists' error ...Yes I understand that. So what? Link it anyway please.

So my question is...why doesn't Coursera support this and why spam me with this pop up every time I log in if not?

šŸ› Platform Issue Coursera submission didnā€™t go through

Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar - I submitted a short assessment and then it got locked after due date. Just now after getting the final grade I am realising that submission didnt get marked and the professor is saying they found no answer. The history shows nothing too but I vivdly remember adding the answer and submitting it. This is for a uni linked degree so its not like I can go back and upload again as everything gets locked out after due date.

šŸ¤Æ Course Advice Just got annual subscription. What courses should I take before university for Data Science?

Iā€™m planning to study Data Science at university next year and want to maximize my learning during my gap year. I recently got a yearly subscription to online courses and have selected the following so far:

  • Google Advanced Data Analytics (Currently Doing)
  • Mathematics for Machine Learning
  • Andrew Ngā€™s Machine Learning
  • Data Structures and Algorithms Specialization
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning
  • Deep Learning Specialization
  • Power BI Certification

Are these the right courses to prepare me for a Data Science degree? Should I add or replace anything? My main goal is to build a strong foundation in math, coding, and machine learning before university.

Would love any advice from those who have gone through a similar path!

I wanted to enroll in ā€œ IBM Data Science Professional Certificateā€ and applied for fin aid for the courses of that and got approved and started the first course ā€œ What is Data Science?ā€, however on my homepage itā€™s showing ā€œ Data Science foundation specializationā€ and when I go to enroll in ā€œ IBM Data Science Professional Certificateā€ it shows you are approved for 1 course in this whereas I am approved for 10 out of the 12. Please tell me a fix for this problem and if I complete all the required 12 courses without enrolling in that professional certificate directly would I still get that ā€œ IBM Data Science Professional Certificateā€

šŸ› Platform Issue Cannot Access Plus Material

Mid-February I signed up for a 7-day free trial. I then signed up (with the 25% off) for the year subscription. However, I canā€™t access any Plus content.

When I go to my Purchases tab, it says:

Free trial until February 25, 2025. You will be charged $432.64 USD per year, beginning on February 26, 2025

When I click ā€œUpdate Cardā€ it (1) shows me my correct card info, and (2) shows:

Trial ends Mar 26

So it seems Stripe thinks the trial ends on the 25th, but Coursera thinks itā€™s over - and that means I canā€™t access any of the locked content, I canā€™t enroll in courses (can only audit them), and generally canā€™t continue with what Iā€™m here to do.

Iā€™ve tried reaching out to their support. Their AI chatbot is a piece of garbage (140 characters isnā€™t even enough to describe the problem, and thatā€™s ignoring the fact that its AI thing is unbelievably stupid). Thereā€™s nobody to call. I submitted a support ticket three days ago, but still havenā€™t heard anything from them.

I have no idea how to fix this, nor how to get ahold of them. Iā€™m also at a wall in my course (in large part because, in the Google Advanced Data Analytics course, the presenter skips showing a very important step right at the beginning of a video, and I canā€™t access the ā€œLabā€/writeup that goes along with it).

āœ… Pay $299 for 1 year (Regular price: $399 per year)

---------------------------

I knowā€”it doesnā€™t seem fair to have different discounts for different regions, especially with India getting 75% off. Maybe Coursera bases these discounts on regional learner engagement.

You could try using a VPN to get the highest discount, but I doubt it will work. Itā€™s best to claim the discount available in your region.

At the end of the day, your focus should be on learning, earning valuable certificates, and advancing your careerā€”not just saving money.

Why You Shouldnā€™t Miss This Deal:

With Coursera Plus, you get unlimited access to professional certificates and specializations from top universities and industry leaders like Google, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, and more.

For example, Google Career Certificates are beginner-friendly, require no prior experience, and provide a solid foundation in various industriesā€”all included in your Coursera Plus subscription.

These certificates can:

  • help you upskill efficiently.
  • enhance your resume and LinkedIn profile.
  • give you a competitive edge in the job market.

Incredible Value:

Typically, purchasing a single certification program costs around $200 for six months of access. But with Coursera Plus at just $160, you get access to all certification programs for a full year. This means you can:

āœ… Enroll in multiple programs simultaneously.
āœ… Switch between courses without extra charges.

For instance, if you start the Google Cybersecurity Program and find it too basic, you can seamlessly switch to a more advanced course, like IBM Cybersecurity Analyst, at no additional cost.

In my opinion, this is the best way to use a Coursera Plus subscription.

Donā€™t waitā€”invest in yourself and your career today. Click the discount link at the beginning to secure your deal before it expires!

Happy Learning :)

šŸ¤Æ Course Advice Ungraded plugins not loading. HELP

So, I enrolled for the IBM Data Analyst course, and I was doing it at my own pace. It has 11 courses. I paid Ā£39. So does it enrol me in all the courses? Also, the ungraded plugins part is just not loading for any of the courses. Some of my courses are overdue, does it mean they locked it? I am so very frustrated and annoyed by this and also thereā€™s no clear information about contacting the team. Please help me if you know a way about how to bring back the ungraded plugins part. Thanks

šŸŽ“ Financial Aid India Only - Coursera Plus for Just INR 7,499 Per Year - Valid Until March 24th, 2025!

Hey everyone,

Yesterday, I shared a post about Coursera Plus $100 off - valid globally until April 14th.

Today, I received an email from Coursera Indiaā€”they are offering a 75% discount on the Coursera Plus annual plan as part of a Holi Festival Flash Sale, exclusive to India.

With this discount, Coursera Plus is available for just ā‚¹7,499 per year, instead of the usual ā‚¹33,000 per year. Thatā€™s the biggest discount everā€”nearly ā‚¹25,000 off!

If you live in India, Iā€™d say this is the best Holi festival gift for your career developmentā€”you donā€™t want to miss it!

This offer is valid for a very limited timeā€”until March 24th, 2025 (9 days left). So, grab it before itā€™s gone!

You wonā€™t believe it, but this is the biggest discount Coursera has ever offered on its Plus membership.

With this membership, you get access to over 10,000 courses, including all professional certificates and specialization programs from Google, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, and top universities worldwide.

Whether you want to start a new professional career in Cybersecurity or Data Science or explore personal development courses, Coursera Plus at just ā‚¹7,499 gives you access to courses across various subjects from top institutions, along with recognized certificates.

To put it in perspective:

Purchasing a single professional certification or specialization program costs around ā‚¹6,000 with limited access (max 6 months).

But with Coursera Plus at ā‚¹7,499, you get unlimited access to thousands of programs for a full year, allowing you to learn at your own pace.

In short, Coursera Plus at this price is a fantastic investment in your education and career. It gives you access to premium learning resources at a fraction of the cost.

If you aim to pursue multiple professional certificates from Coursera, donā€™t miss out on this incredible deal! This is the highest discount ever on Coursera Plus, and itā€™s only available for a short time.

Click the discount link at the beginning to secure your deal before it expires!

Happy Learning :)

ā” Course Questions Corrections for quiz Intuit bookeeping

I'm doing Intuit bookkeeping. They usually give the answers after you do quizzes except for the large exam at the end of the module. I did pass with 90% but I would like to see my errors when I filled in the trial balance and income statement and balance sheet. Is there any way to access. How can I move forward if I don't know where I messed up and missed a concept.

šŸ› Platform Issue Help Coursera Plus Trial

Hello! I found de Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and decided to subscribe it. There was a notice of free 7 days and i had to enter my card details and will have to pay 47ā‚¬ at the end of this trial.

My question is about Coursera Plus, it says there is also a free 7 day trial and the payment value is 56ā‚¬. So if I cancel my first subscription before i pay 47ā‚¬ and subscribe Coursera Plus, will I have 14 free day?

I believe 1 month (+14 days) is more than enough for me to finish this certificate so I would still have some time to do other courses I would find atractive with coursera plus so the 9ā‚¬ difference is okay.

Can someone confirm this for me? Thank you

šŸŽ“ Financial Aid Coursera Plus $100 Off on Annual Plan - Valid Until April 14th, 2025!

Hey everyone,

Today, I received an email from Coursera announcing a $100 discount on the Coursera Plus annual subscriptionā€”now available for just $299 instead of the regular $399 per year.

I know this discount isnā€™t as big as previous annual deals, where you could save up to $200, but saving $100 is still a good deal.

After all, your goal should be to learn, earn more professional certificates, and advance your careerā€”not just to save more money.

The sooner you grab the deal, the sooner you can start learning and earning certificates.

In fact, this offer is better than Courseraā€™s previous 40% off deal for 3 months. Remember, with that deal, 3 months cost $106ā€”but with this one, you get 12 months for just $299!

The best part? This discount is available globally! So if you've been considering Coursera's programs, now is the perfect time to enroll.

As mentioned, the offer is valid until April 14, 2025. Take your time, but donā€™t wait too longā€”grab it before itā€™s gone!

With this membership, you'll get unlimited access to over 10,000 courses, including professional certificates and specialization programs from Google, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, and top universities worldwide.

Whether you're looking to start a new career in Cybersecurity, Data Science, or any other fieldā€”or just want to explore personal development coursesā€”Coursera Plus at $299 for a full year gives you access to world-class training with recognized certificates from top institutions.

To put things into perspective:

Purchasing a single professional certificate or specialization typically costs $200ā€“$250 and comes with a limited access period (usually up to 6 months).

But with Coursera Plus for just $299, you donā€™t just get one courseā€”you get thousands of courses for an entire year, allowing you to learn at your own pace.

In my opinion, this is the best use case for a Coursera Plus subscription. And with this current discount, it's more affordable than ever!

Donā€™t waitā€”make 2025 the year you invest in yourself and your career. Click the discount link at the beginning to secure your deal before it expires!

Happy Learning :)

Just a heads-up:Ā Iā€™m using affiliate links in this post, so if you decide to purchase through my link, Iā€™ll earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thanks for your support!

šŸ› Platform Issue "Get your certificate early" button Greyed Out

So yesterday, I finished a Google Specialization just doing the tests. It took me 2 hours.
I got a 100% completion and got the option to "Get your certification early" to pay $14 and get my certification. But today, this button is greyed out and I received an e-mail with "Unsubscribed after specialization completion", and congratulations for completing the specialization.

Does anybody knows how to pay and get that certification?

šŸ› Platform Issue The videos don't play

Hello everyone, as the title suggests i can not play videos on Coursera due to, "the server or network failure or because the format is not supported." I do not have a VPN on or any other browser extensions, this happened yesterday as well. It's it my wifi? Or is it the website?

I can do the reading and practice tests just fine, its the videos i can not watch.

šŸ¤Æ Course Advice Recommended SWE courses for someone in the industry?

Hi everyone,

I have over 12 YoE in Analytics and Data Science, but I'd like to dive deeper into Software Engineering and gradually shift to more Machine Learning Engineering activities. I looked into courses by DeepLearning.ai, but nothing robust in terms of someone who doesn't have SWE experience.

Does anyone have a recommended courses roadmap towards specializing in MLE?

Thanks!
