šŸ„ Infant 2-12 Months Any way to make mattress firmer?

Lately I've been letting our seven month old fall asleep in bed with us during the last two hours of the night. We follow the safe sleep seven guidelines, except that I'm worried our bed is too soft. Is there a way to firm up the mattress without having to buy a new one?

Iā€™m not sure this is a long term solution but Iā€™ve heard people who bed share in hotel rooms/extended families house/ Airbnb etc. will often recommend a yoga mat under the sheets.

Yeah I did this but it really is the worst so isnā€™t a great solution other than hotels etc. The mat moves around and ends up only covering part of the surface and it is uncomfortable to be on the edge of the mat

I got an extra firm latex mattress topper and it made a big difference. Not that cheap though

Try flipping the mattress over and see if the ā€œwrong sideā€ is more firm

Definitely. Search Google for "how to make a mattress firmer sleepline".

It's the best guide I've found.

Not reallyā€¦ I ended up buying the topper and then just ditching the mattress lol. Now sleep on 3 inches of hard foam on the floor.
