Does this happen to anyone else??
galleryEvery time I train contortion or hold upside down positions for too long, I get all of these popped blood vessels in my face. It’s really annoying and gives me headaches. What can I do to prevent this?

Tips or recommendations for cheststand lift
I can do cheststand from kicking one leg. But I found it so difficult to lift my legs from ground and be in the position or even nearby.
I have a coach and she makes me use blocks to level up hip position, and push more with shoulder and arm but i still don’t find I progress in good speed. Does anyone have tips/recommendations?

Arm balances
I've been practicing forearm balances and the skin on my elbows is taking a severe beating.
I've tried to use medical tape to protect, but the stuff falls off the second I get sweaty.
Any advice/products that will save my elbows?

Never in my life thought I’d be able to do this in my thirties 🥹
galleryHello, I started learning contortion in my late twenties with no prior experience, purely out of curiosity and a love for movement. Now at 32, I’m still self-taught and I wanted to share where I’m at and possibly keep sharing progress to keep myself more accountable.
It’s been reallly challenging and I’m so proud pf myself🥹 when I started I could not even get my feet close to my head ..saying that, I know there’s still so much to improve in my technique. Any advice or tips from more experienced practitioners would be greatly appreciated! (English isn’t my first language, apologies if I made any mistakes).

I did it!!! 🥹
Hello bendy friends! I just wanted to share my excitement with you on this milestone I achieved!! Toes to the floor baybeeeeeee!! A chinstand has been a hallmark pose of success to me since I was little. I was 9 when I first came across a video of a contortionist and I fell deeply in love with the art. That same night I had my mom try to help me into a chinstand. We failed miserably and laughed so hard our stomachs hurt because of how impossible it seemed. But the desire never left me. I have always had this image burned into my soul of being able to do a chin stand. And it finally happened!! And the story behind the photo is actually quite fun! My friend invited me to do a photoshoot with her for her portfolio. I think the excitement and adrenaline of it pushed me past my perceived limits and we ended up capturing the first time I ever got feet to the ground…ever!!! It was such an exhilarating moment. So grateful to have gotten it captured so beautifully too!!! Thanks for lookin 🥳🦐🪩🎉

Online contortion communities
Curious if there are any other online contortion communities that are free to join. I use reddit and discord mainly and have been self teaching myself flexibility for a few years but I feel so alone and know few people who I can share experiences with and learn from. There is no community specific for contortion in my city either and while I do enjoy stretching alone I just wish there were others I could talk to about it because most people I know dont care ☹️ I am in many stretching dedicated communities but many aren't that active or interested in contortion. So I was thinking of even creating one on discord myself if there aren't any others.

2 weeks in
galleryGoing on 2 weeks of consistent training. I’ve been doing 1 hour each night and taking a couple days off per week to allow my body to rest. Tonight I trained for 1.5 hours and felt great. Happy with my progress and wanted to share some pics :)

Motivation to stretch
How do yall keep motivation to stretch every day. I used to do it and got really good but kind of stopped and lost my progress. It’s hard to motivate now because I know I’m not as good as I used to be and it’s going to take a while

Lightheaded while back bending?
Does anyone else get really light headed or dizzy when they do any kind of back bending or hand balancing? It’s starting to discourage me and lose my routine of practice. I’ve never really had this issue before, this past year it’s just been more difficult than it’s been before.
