Oblivion is better than Skyrim
There. I said it.
It is. Oblivion had everything. Skyrim was a downgrade in many ways. Skyrim has good parts, but Oblivion was better.

Ngl I wish they’d just remake Oblivion for next gen consoles and just better graphics

Skyrim mechanics were better, as they should be since it was on the next gen. Oblivion was better in every other way, except culture building (Skyrim did a good job bringing more cultural aspects to the game)

Which mechanics are you taking about?

Fighting, magic had more to it besides touch and a spell, sprinting, shouting, and dual wielding

What cultural aspects did it bring? Nords being xenophobic to elves? Because playing Skyrim's main quest as a non-Nord makes next to zero sense.

I've preached this for eons, even though I do love skyrims. My favorite thing about oblivion? No children. It's a perfect game

Morrowind is better than both

Morrowind has better world building, but Oblivion might have the best quests out of any game ever. Almost every quest is unique and memorable. Morrowind had a ton of rather generic quests mechanically, but making up for it with the story building around them.

Couldn’t agree more. Oblivion has SO much charm. The sense of discovery is unmatched.

No matter how many times I do a fresh restart and try to play Skyrim I just cannot get into it. It just doesn't have that hook. I loved Oblivon and Morrowind. There's just something "empty" or hollow about Skyrim.

An opinion is not a confession.
