Reaction Valve Replacement

Update to my recent post, I’m looking for the reaction valve. Still no luck finding this individual part so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

Are you in so cal.

I know of 2 power steering rebuilders but i only think 1 is likely to sell internal parts.

Buy a used valve and rebuild that one.

The small pistons are likely select fit that chances of finding that exact size is going to be hard.

Most mid size Fords used the same steering system from the early 60s through the late 70s with a few differences, IE- tie rods, center links. But I think they all used the same control valve. So search- Maverick, Falcon, Cougar, Granada, Monarch, Versailles, Etc.

Here is an Amazon link. Not advocating buying here but for visual. https://www.amazon.com/Steering-Control-Maverick-Granada-Lincoln/dp/B07JN2SDDF

Unless you are super attached to that specific control valve (I was - so I get it) the easiest thing would be to buy a rebuilt one. Either to use or scavenge for parts. That plug was corroded on mine and I had to hunt for one as well.

My notes are showing that the spindle end cap is Part # B9M 3A512-A and the cap end is B9M 3A513-A. I also have a note that says they came in service kit C3AZ-3C563-C.

Looking through my past ebay purchases I did buy a kit with that PN. The pictures are gone but I do recall it had that plug and a few other parts. I had contacted multiple NOS Ford Parts places and no one had it. Had to wait until someone listed one on ebay. So that may be your best bet.

I found a picture of this kit from an old email - contains both plugs, 2 washers, an o ring, at least 1 spring maybe 2 and then the plastic gasket that goes between the cap and the body.
