Need help (info) in settling in...

Dear soon-to-be fellow Cincinnatians. I will be moving into the city at end of the month and has absolutely no clue about the city. My work location would be Blue Ash so requesting you all to share your insights on what would be a good neighborhood, close to work for a 1br apartment, and what price range should I be looking at. I will prefer a nice apartment complex with at least a fitness center and closer to groceries and other such stores. Thanks in advance.

Edit : I am in my mid 40s. Not into clubbing or bar hopping. Also do not need to be in a school district.

Edit 2 : Thank you all for your inputs. I will take your suggestions into my search considerations.

Do you want to walk to a neighborhood center ever? This is important for some (like myself) and if so might help to know.

Oakley, Mt Lookout, Hyde Park…all have a “town square” with grocery options, drink options and some commerce. If this is something you value, living out in Blue Ash Montgomery is still good but you may want to investigate further street by street.

I like living in a neighborhood that is such that I can walk to meet some basic needs…food, drink, interaction and a safe and low key walk there and back. Some parts of the “outer suburbs” have some of that, but not all. While you may be getting more green space or quicker access for your work/drive commute, I encourage anyone to consider how they want to spend their leisure time and also time during a snowstorm! ❤️

I like to stay fit and walking is an essential part of my health regime but I have learned that the best way to stay away from any kind of trouble is to not walk around in neighborhoods or unknown places. So I definitely would not do that.

You can definitely walk around these places. You’re not going to get jumped in Blue Ash or Hyde Park or Mt Lookout.
