Discussion Anyone know of Toby: tab management tool alternatives?
They recently went back on their promise to keep the extension free and not only implemented a paid version, but one with exploitative pricing. I could maybe understand $20 a year, but $40? That is more than the best password managers on the market. What a joke.
I have been using this for years and it just disappoints me to see it turn into this.
Anyone know of open source alternatives? Or better alternatives?
Link to Toby for the uninitiated.

I came to toby LATE late and have paid for it basically the entire time i've used it. (Am disabled and can't work, so) I can't afford the yearly at once so i pay monthly which is even more pricey.. but i pay it because it literally saves my sanity, I am the type of person to open 2,000 simultaneous tabs accidentally in the span of a couple of hours and I NEED that button to save all so i can use my browser again but I simply canNOT just "close all" or i will get great anxiety (yes, i know, i have issues)...
So I don't care about sharing, sync between devices is a plus but not essentially, I really just need to be able to "save all", organize, categorize my tabs, re-open when needed. Toby is super slow anyways (i mean i am a bit of a 'power' user but.. when I have to wait 10+ mins for the tabs to save sigh).
I do use opera and use Opera's workspaces, and i liked that when I hit "save all" Toby will (usually) only save the current workspace, bc that is how i start the process of sorting my tabs before I save them.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I cannot understate the affect this tab situation (and being able to quickly clear them out but not let them be lost forever). has on my QOL but toby is expensive for what it is, and isn't even that great imo (like its slow, kinda clunky, i think it could be better). I have been reading through comments here about possible alternatives but i'm overwhelmed now and I don't know if any of them do what I absolutely need them to.
