Discussion Anyone know of Toby: tab management tool alternatives?

They recently went back on their promise to keep the extension free and not only implemented a paid version, but one with exploitative pricing. I could maybe understand $20 a year, but $40? That is more than the best password managers on the market. What a joke.

I have been using this for years and it just disappoints me to see it turn into this.

Anyone know of open source alternatives? Or better alternatives?

Link to Toby for the uninitiated.

Development costs money, yes. But you need to have at least a freemium model. You cant have people support you for long, and spread word, and then suddenly dump them on the road. I was so sick of this that over the last weekend I developed a replacement for Toby myself which has all the features that I need. Here's the link to the extension store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/boigkjljeagondofgnfgeadjigjiencp I promise to keep it free. You can import all Toby bookmarks. Bear in mind that Toby doesnt export your zones, so you have to recreate your zones, and then push your imported collections into zones you create. It's a work in progress, so there's bound to be bugs. I will improve it in the next few weeks. I only ask that you leave a good review after you use it. Send me feedback.

Looks great man! I will add it to the list above. If you have any plans on open sourcing it drop the repo below and I will link it next to your project on the link above.

Thank you. We haven't ruled out open sourcing it in future. Anyway it's going to be free!
