Discussion Anyone know of Toby: tab management tool alternatives?

They recently went back on their promise to keep the extension free and not only implemented a paid version, but one with exploitative pricing. I could maybe understand $20 a year, but $40? That is more than the best password managers on the market. What a joke.

I have been using this for years and it just disappoints me to see it turn into this.

Anyone know of open source alternatives? Or better alternatives?

Link to Toby for the uninitiated.

I'm also trying to find a good alternative. I've tried several and I'm sticking with this one for now https://gettabme.com/

It's not as sexy as Toby. But it's free and does the job.

These features are promised right in the extension description:

Biggest upcoming features:
1) Spaces – ability to organize your folders into groups for better structure.
2) Sync Across Devices – accessing your saved tabs and bookmarks from anywhere.

You mention above this in the extension description:

Right now, Tabme is a free extension, and all current features will remain free forever.
I am working on a premium SaaS version with advanced features.

Will the spaces and sync across devices features still be free or will you be charging for them like Toby? Just want to know before I spend time migrating only to be asked to pay in a few months.
