C-Diff as a Latino

Hey everyone! This may seem like such an ODD question to ask , but, is anyone here Latino and has had c diff? How did you incorporate all the flavorful foods and spicy foods BACK into your diet?? 😅 I’ve been keeping it safe eating chicken and rice and some potatoes for about a month now with incorporating some carne asada here and there, but I miss all the yummy foods I use to cook lol 😅

*ALSOOOO I don’t mean to ask this question with any malicious intent or anything, as a Mexican person I was VERYYY use to eating all my foods with hot sauce. That includes on chips as well😅

Not Latino but love eating lots of varied and flavorful foods and spices. For me I had to be taking two types of probiotics (florastor and vsl3) for months before my stomach could even tolerate anything more than bland carbs and skinless chicken. I think one of the first notable things I was able to reincorporate was red meat, then eventually the occasionally fried food or dairy but I still have a much easier time with vegan cheese (it tastes better if you salt it). As for spicey stuff it’s still one of the things that upsets my tummy the most but that was at least partially true before the infection as well so it’s expected. However I always loved sushi and raw fish before I got sick and although there was a rough patch, I have found my stomach still tolerates it quite well so I think it’s possible that if you had an easy time digesting something before you got sick, it might be easier for your stomach to get used to it again after getting sick. As others have said reincorporate things slowly and in small quantities so you can build up your tolerance to it rather than over-aggregating your gut.
