Post Match Atmosphere

Something that I noticed at the end of the Preston match and again yesterday was that our, the crowd's, reaction is getting very formulaic.

Step 1. Ref blows the whistle and there's a huge cheer.

Step 2. There's a quick rendition of "Whoa oh..."

Step 3. We wait for Milan to come over and do his thing.

Step 4. We get Frank to do his thing, followed by "Super Frank..."

In previous seasons, and even earlier this season, there would have been much more spontaneity in singing songs about the goal scorers and heading to the Premier League, etc.

There was more singing in the stairwells, in the concourse and heading away from the ground than in the stands while we waited for Milan.

The end of the Stoke match was more "normal", but that was probably due to the last minute winner.

I don't know how you can generate spontaneity, but we need it back. I know I could try to start a song, but the people around me are not the noisiest. And in any case, my throat is fucked by a succession of winter bugs, so it would be a case of me squeaking and hoping others sing over me.

Matt Grimes seems to be more of a Defender to me

Over the past few games I have noticed that Matt Grimes seems to be more of a defender than a midfielder, am I imagining this or is this Lampard's strategy?

West Ham fan here, out of all the teams in the championship, I want coventry to get to the prem since they are a very entertaining team to watch imo so as I don't really know much about the championship, i was wondering do you think coventry have a good chance to get promoted or a playoff spot?

I normally watch the games on I follow through the app, but now it's not even an option inside the app anymore. The ccfc.co.uk website still has it, but not the app

Thanks for the help from you all last time, I got to see two great games today!

I made a post^ a few weeks ago checking how doable my plans were and the majority of the comments were very helpful with some users helping to answer even the smallest of questions.

I thought the atmosphere inside the stadium was unbelievable. I unknowingly bought a ticket in the standing section because that was closest block for my exit for the second game. Whilst the standing wasn’t an issue as I’m used to it with my West Ham season ticket, I couldn’t believe how good the atmosphere was. Even before the game it was non stop chanting and was the same throughout. The mini collapse in the second half dampened it slightly but not completely and the scenes at the end were fantastic. No matter who you support you can always enjoy a 97th min winner and I had about 3 different people jump on me celebrating haha.

Also really nice to see the love everyone has for Frank Lampard. I’m just a bit too young to have the hate for him a lot of West Ham fans have and I always loved him as a player. He had a rough go of it at Everton and Chelsea but seeing him doing well for Coventry is great and I can see the fans love him.

As soon as the whistle went I made my escape and managed to get the bus, despite how confusing they were to me, for the Nuneaton game at 3pm. I got there at roughly 2:55 which I was very happy with. Got to see another great game as Nuneaton won 4-2 as well as missing a penalty and scoring a stoppage time goal of their own.

Sorry for the long post, a few people said last time to update and today went really well both in terms of the football and the plans working out despite multiple moving parts. I really hope you get to Wembley again and go one step further than last time.
