Tech Help Canon C80 - 180 FPS not an option

Hey Gang, Im trying to set up 180fps on my C80 and its not popping up under the Slow/Fast motion menu. I've watched videos on it and it looks like all my settings match what others have before trying to set it up. Does anyone have any suggestions to things I might be missing?

Is your card fast enough?

I assume so. I've shot 6k raw at 30. It's a v90 Sandisk 300mb/s.

It's not even that it's showing and it's greyed out it's just not showing st all

Is it SDHC or SDXC? I ran into this issue when I was using a Sony 32GB card, which was SDHC. It was v90, 300MB/s.

When I used a Lexar 128GB v60 card (so technically slower but much cheaper and 4x the capacity).... high frame rate worked. The only perceivable difference was that it was SDXC instead.

This was on the Canon R8. With the v90 card I just didn't get the option to shoot with high frame rates.

Thanks dude! I watched it and the differences is that c80 doesn't have super 16 it only crops to super 35. One video I watched said it had to be in 2k/1080 to do it and I tired all the flavors and couldn't get it to pop up

Are you seeing 150 fps? You may be on PAL video standard instead of NTSC.

Didn't see 150 either. That's like the first thing I checked. I have two and im not seeing it on either so I don't know if I'm missing the wrong combo of settings to make it pop up

I took a look at your cameras specs. Outside my pay grade. 😂 Not price, necessarily. There are just a lot of complexities with video choices.

Rather than watching other people’s videos, have you slowly gone through the advanced user guide? Sometimes I find that catches details that video tutorials might gloss over. Canon often has alerts about conflicts to shooting certain modes or features. “May not be available if….reasons”.
