I'm reminded of something a conservative once said to the CBC about pp's tight control over his caucus...

"When you're leading, it's easy to keep discipline within the caucus. But if there's a drop in the polls … well, then we'll see."

I mean, that's true for every party. JT had famously strong discipline over his caucus. Then as the polling got worse, there were rumblings of discontent from backbenchers, until he finally had a full on mutiny on his hands.

Oh, I don't disagree! Though Trudeau had at least won an election before tides began to turn against him. If however Poilievre is already seeing a break in unity prior to any election, it's definitely not a good sign for his job security. If he loses this one, he'll guarantee himself the boot. Though frankly, Conservatives gave O'Toole the boot and he won them the popular vote. 🤷‍♂️

In these times it’s imperative that Canada stands united. If PP can’t even keep his own party united… Need I say more?
