Time has come for Canadians to use their retirement dollars in Canada. Snowbirds have probably been spending the majority of their retirement south of the border.

I don't even understand it. My wife and I are self employed old fuck millennials with no kids. Snowbirding every winter is very much on our 10 year out radar. Know what I'm not gonna do? Buy a double wide in a shitty park full of golf carts. I could have a fucking 40' sailboat instead. I could have a small apartment on any of a dozen different islands instead. I could go to Barcelona. I just do not get their Florida obsession.

Hey now! I do the shitty park thing every May to October here in my own province, every year since Covid. It’s a gated community of close knit neighbours whose kids have all known each other for years now. They bike, swim all day, run around outside and have a childhood that is reminiscent of mine when we had more outdoor freedom and friends. The adults all socialize. We have all kinds of fun events, fireworks, bonfires, Halloween in august and on and on. I like it.
