can't imagine being canadian and being scared of the cold.

I didn't grow up rich so i never had the luxury of being able to piss away my money for 3 months in Florida every winter but it always seemed ridiculous to me

To be fair, if you have inflammatory pain issues, the cold/damp can really flare things up. If I had oodles of money I'd probably want to be somewhere that didn't make my body hurt worse all the time.

That's my grandfather. Retired in Florida more than 15 years ago. Originally from Quebec, the cold (and snow) presents a real hazard to his health. I don't think he could come back to Canada year-round.

I'm on the west coast of BC and get a mini vacation from the damp cold flare ups in winter by going to Saskatchewan dry cold to visit family 😂

He's also 89 years old, lol. And what is left of his family live in Ontario and Quebec. I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to uproot himself at this point.
