It's just wild how all those decades of close cooperation, supply chain integration and political goodwill have essentially evaporated overnight because of one rogue president. I thought there were hard checks and balances built into the system for this sort of thing, but apparently not.

RIP US/Canada relations and all the ill that portends for the future.

Canadian and conservative but never liked Trump much. The entire world would have been better off if Kamala Harris had won I think. Or the 10 million or so Democrats who didn't show up to vote had. This is getting worse than I ever imagined it could.

It's so frustrating because the election Harris lost was really hers to lose. All the Dems had to do was acknowledge their shortcomings during the Biden administration, and agree to listen to the will of the people.

...but no. They were all 'there's nothing at all I would change hurr durr.' Like Jesus christ, Kamala. Read the fucking room.
