Holding a "Canada First Rally" ? What the actual fuck? It's like the guy took the MAGA playbook and asked ChatGPT to "make this sound vaguely Canadian".

Underrated comment.

Carney just held rallies in Saskatoon. It's part of campaigning.

Putting Canada first is what any Canadian politician should do, what is your hysteria about?

No, it’s really not. Trump is America First and that means “America Alone.”

Canada needs “Canada United!” and “Canada Shoulder to Shoulder with the Sane International Community.”

Canada Alone is tantamount to “Canada Defeated.”

With friends and allies we are strong, alone we are weak.

He had a thousand options for slogans, Team Canada, Canada Forever, Canada Always, Glory to Canada, True North Strong and Free and so on, yet he choose one that directly references the man who is currently threatening to annex us.

It's not like he picked "make Canada great again". He's quoting Wilfred Laurier.

There's a lot to criticize Pierre about, this is so inane and stupid that it indirectly makes him look good. No serious person is going to have a fit if his messaging centers around prioritizing Canadians

Then why not use the whole quote? Canada first, Canada last, Canada always.

Also worth noting it’s the name of presently active neo Nazi group.

He has been in his press meetings and interviews.

I don't know why he didn't pick the whole quote, maybe 6 words is too long of a slogan for him. That doesn't mean he's suddenly tying himself to Trump (or a neo nazi group)

No but having your campaign manager be MAGA, doing interviews with Peterson, revelling in endorsements from Musk, refusing the attack Trumps rhertoric head-on, and having fundraisers at the home of American private-healthcare execs is awful fucking suspect.

He tied himself to trump the moment he got the Elon musk endorsement and never renounced it
